Break out your bandanas. According to Deadline, FOX is developing a Rambo: New Blood series with Sylvester Stallone.
The show will be based on Stallone’s popular film franchise that began with 1982’s First Blood. The film series went on to include three more films: Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rambo III, and 2008’s Rambo.
Rambo: New Blood will pick up with Stallone’s central character John Rambo, a reactionary soldier struggling with PTSD after his experiences in Vietnam. The series will follow Rambo and his son, ex-Navy SEAL J.R., and comes from Die Hard writer Jeb Stuart.
There’s no official word as to whether Stallone will return as Rambo for the series, but he is signed on to executive produce.
