What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the BET cable channel, Rebel stars Danielle Moné Truitt, Giancarlo Esposito, Mykelti Williamson, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Brandon Quinn, Angela Ko, Mikelen Walker, and Tamala Jones. Oakland P.D. Detective Rebecca “Rebel” Knight (Truitt) is wired to play by the rules. In a failed attempt to keep him from gunning down her little brother, Malik (Walker), Rebel ends up shooting her partner, Michael “Mack” McIntyre (Quinn). Following an intense Internal Affairs and criminal investigation, Knight ultimately leaves the force. As a newly-minted private investigator, she continues to wage war on crime and corruption.
Season One Ratings

Telly’s Take
Executive producer John Singleton is primarily known for his work in feature films. Will he also find success on the small screen? Will his new Rebel TV show be cancelled or renewed for a second season on BET? The ratings are mediocre when compared to Being Mary Jane. I loved that show just came across it this month in April 2021 and watch the hole first season in one night hate it ended like that and left everybody hanging
Please bring back BET’S “REBEL!” My family and I loved the show! We we’re very disappointed, when the show ended so quickly! We were left wanting to see more!!! And NO more! Please bring it back!!!
At least renew it for one more season
Just letting you know I am 74 years old the Hispanic and I love the shows from Tyler Perry bring them all back you get to me started on them and then you guys take it away rebel the oval ruthless assisted living House of payne
I really would love for this show to be renewed for season 2 it is a very good strong powerful movie about a strong black woman fighting cases for the right reasons please bring this show back you just can not cancel this show the way it went off so not right. Omg omg please renew as soon as possible I gotta see what happens next now that Mack shot his brother jimmy omg omg

Please Please Please, bring Rebel back. I love this stylish, powerful, intelligent Black Woman. Do you know How IMPORTANT it is for little black girls and Women to see a Black Woman in this light? i was bragging about the show but couldn’t back it up because I couldn’t pull up not one episode on BET. OMG, what happened? My heart was broken when the tv show “Generations” was cancelled in the late ’80’s. Don”t break my heart again with the cancellaion of “Rebel”. BLACK is KING
