What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the BET cable channel, Rebel stars Danielle Moné Truitt, Giancarlo Esposito, Mykelti Williamson, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Brandon Quinn, Angela Ko, Mikelen Walker, and Tamala Jones. Oakland P.D. Detective Rebecca “Rebel” Knight (Truitt) is wired to play by the rules. In a failed attempt to keep him from gunning down her little brother, Malik (Walker), Rebel ends up shooting her partner, Michael “Mack” McIntyre (Quinn). Following an intense Internal Affairs and criminal investigation, Knight ultimately leaves the force. As a newly-minted private investigator, she continues to wage war on crime and corruption.
Season One Ratings

Telly’s Take
Executive producer John Singleton is primarily known for his work in feature films. Will he also find success on the small screen? Will his new Rebel TV show be cancelled or renewed for a second season on BET? The ratings are mediocre when compared to Being Mary Jane. Great show , please make more seasons!! I give this show 5 stars. One of my favorites ( at least make up to season 4 or something). Please , I’m dying because there aren’t anymore episodes/seasons.
I love this show , I stayed up all night to watch the first season.. please keep the show going with more seasons at least 3-4 seasons at the most.
Please I am waiting for season 2. She’s doing a good job on exposing corruption and murder in the police dept.. We see so much of this, so by exposing it on tv every body can feel some of what we feel as a black American.

REBEL should definitely be renewed its a great show. Its has a very talented lady leading its role. Its different which is a plus. Its a full circle type of show because its speaks to its audience. The things you see on REBEL are things that go on in our day to day. Also it shows sexy, strength, vulnerability, love, family, etc… women need this. So I say Yes to Rebel!!! Instant and continue renewal is a must! BET stop playing games.. season 2 lets go!!!!

All Im saying you got a winner B.E.T. You let this go you seriously got a problem. I know I won’t invest anymore time in getting hooked in a series. Let face it rebel and Mary Jane is the only two series. That are new and keeping us hooked. Besides the reruns just as much as we need a real series that worth watching. I love this series… the girl is bad and real… she reminds me of ny home town females who were smart but still very much aware….advertise it on that news station you use…that’s my sincere suggestion…myself and others REALLY enjoy BET now…
