Last season, Revolution was the highest-rated show on NBC but the ratings fell throughout the season, even with The Voice as a lead-in. What will happen now that the show’s been moved to Wednesdays? Will it see a third season or will it be cancelled instead? We’ll have to wait and see.
Revolution revolves around the Matheson family and others who live in a world where there is no longer any power. The cast includes Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Giancarlo Esposito, Zak Orth, David Lyons, JD Pardo, Stephen Collins, and Elizabeth Mitchell.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/9 update: NBC has cancelled Revolution after two seasons and 44 episodes.
5/22 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The first season of Revolution averaged a 2.6 rating in the demo and 7.21 million viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Revolution TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for third season?
I would like a wrap up at least
At the end you see all the nano flying around with plenty of reason for another season. This happens all the time people find a show they like to watch and it canceled for really no reason.
I would buy another season. Go to Idaho . I will join the revolution evolution solution.$
I can not understand why this show was cancelled I really enjoyed watching every episode. It is a lot better then some of the garbage they show on tv now, the story is great each episode was intense you always looked forward for the next one please bring it back .
CORRECTION: WITHOUT CLOSURE
That is exactly how I feel. NBC is good at leaving people hanging. You start watching a good show and then they cancel it without warning and with closure. Revolution was once of the best shows on TV but NBC does not want to listen to the people who watch it.
It is sad that NBC does not care anymore about that viewers and their storylines as to just cancel the show and leave everyone hanging it will be a long time before I put time into another NBC TV series
