What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the The CW television network, Riverdale follows the folks in the fictional hometown to the Archie Comics gang. The dark teen mystery drama begins with a new school year and the residents of this small town are still reeling from the tragic and mysterious death of the high school’s golden boy. Nothing seems the same. Rather than follow in his dad Fred’s (Luke Perry) footsteps, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) now wants to pursue a career in music. Meanwhile, just when Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) decides to reveal her true feelings for Archie, a beautiful new student named Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) turns his head. Archie could use a best bud right now, but his friendship with Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) is on the rocks. Mädchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, Casey Cott, and Madelaine Petsch also star.

Telly’s Take
While its lackluster premiere numbers whet my appetite, it seems that The CW really wants Riverdale to succeed. And to be fair, the ratings have remained fairly consistent. On top of that, Warner Bros. TV has made a big development deal with Archie Comics. It’s no surprise that Riverdale has been renewed for a second season.

Oh my God Riverdale is the best show ever I’ve ever watched it inns with Jughead and Betty’s relationship and jughead joining the serpents the house being burnt down and Archie’s dad being short I don’t know how I would live if I didn’t know how the story ended
Continue the show and it’s story, I’d love to know more! The first season ended with Archie’s dad being shot, Jughead joining the serpents, and Sheryls house being burned. Obviously, that’s not the whole ending and there has to be more drama that happens.! I’m desperate to hear more about Betty and Jugheads relationship, too!

This is the worst. Murder, crime, deception…. perfect for the moral values of todays youth. Saw first episode and swore I will never see another. This show is a super bad role model.
Dont hate. It’s an extremely good show I haven’t even finished it yet, and I’m all ready ready for a season 2.
WoW, this junk gets Renewed And a awesome series like Marco Polo gets cancelled. Unbelievable
Not a ton of viewers are into period dramas anymore. Murder mysteries are the hype and I totally get why. LOVE them!!! Don’t hate on the murder mysteries. Especially one that was done this well.
This is not a murder mystery. A murder mystery has a plot, and clues, and interesting characters. This just has predictable cliche, and is way more about the stupid romance between the ugly homeless kid, and the equally ugly annoying blond manly bossy girl who thinks she is really nice. They have the least interesting relationship ever. He is predictably sensitive, and she is predictably bossy. Like anyone cares. And the annoying angst over things NO ONE would be bothered by just makes any person over fifteen cringe. The murder is not even the focus of the show.,
I don’t know what I’ll do if this is not renewed. I love this show
