Rookie Blue has been cancelled after six seasons on ABC. There will not be a seventh season. Variety reported on the cancellation of the Canadian series starring Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith on Friday.
Ilana C. Frank released a statement about the cancellation of the series:
“On behalf of the whole Rookie Blue family, thank you to all the fans for your dedication over the last six years. After six fun and dramatic seasons, our story has come to its natural close. Alongside you all, it has been our privilege to watch [Missy Peregrym’s character,] Andy McNally develop from a young rookie to a distinguished officer. On behalf of eOne and ICF Films, I want to recognize the talented Missy Peregrym, Ben Bass, Greg Smith and the entire ensemble cast and crew who worked passionately and tirelessly to bring the characters and stories to life. Thank you to our broadcast partners Shaw Media and ABC for all of your support. As we say goodbye to 15 Division, the ICF Films team is already underway on our next project with eOne and Shaw Media and we are looking forward to sharing more exciting news in the near future.”

Rookie Blue was a great show I can’t imagine why they didn’t renewed for season 7 they must be crazy cuz I love this show everybody that I know watched it loved it so hopefully they come to their senses and decided to come back with a new season with it please.

It’s was very upsetting to hear rookie blue will not be renewed for season 7 . Such a great show with an amazing cast I was so looking forward to season 7 and to seeing the continue development of the story lines especially Sam and Andy. It’s Sad to see the show end, to the cast thank u for the all the great memories and all the best to u all.
I wish season seven was the final season.
I hope ABC doesn’t think Quantico will replace Rookie Blue it’s already boring and I have stopped watching and so have my friends. Hopefully another station will take over Rookie Blue and we can enjoy full seasons again.

I can’t believe ABC that there’s not going to be a season 7 Rookie Blue I think it was one of the best shows you put on the air everybody I know loved it and I hope that maybe I on or another station picks it up because it cannot be just the end of a show that is so strong great it just can’t be the end of it all.
WHY IN THE WORLD ARE ALL THE LOCAL STATIONS DUMPING THE GOOD SHOWS AND KEEPING THE JUNK? LOVE ROOKIE BLUE. HOPEFULLY ONE OF THE OTHER STATIONS WILL PICK IT UP AND KEEP IT GOING. 2 SHOW LEFT ABC AND I WILL BLOCK YOU FROM MY TV.

I haven’t been this upset by a TV show cancellation since TNT cancelled “Leverage.” I am sorry to see Rookie Blue go, but I’m not really surprised. When you wait this long after a season ends to get the news, that usually means that there will be no NEXT season. While I will miss Andy, Sam, Dov, Oliver, Chris, Gail, Tracy, Chloe and the rest of 15 Division, I look forward to seeing what Missy Peregrym, Ben Bass, Greg Smith, Matt Gordon, Travis Milne, Charlotte Sullivan, Enuka Okuma, Priscilla Faia and the rest of the cast do in the coming… Read more »
I am.sorry to see rookie blue go. I liked the characters and the storylines.
I agree I looked forward to each new season which always seemed like forever to come back on. You can’t tell me they weren’t planning this with season 5 and season 6 they only had 11 episodes each. Maybe we can hope another network will be smart enough to pick up this series. WE CAN ONLY HOPE!!!!
