Rookie Blue has been cancelled after six seasons on ABC. There will not be a seventh season. Variety reported on the cancellation of the Canadian series starring Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith on Friday.
Ilana C. Frank released a statement about the cancellation of the series:
“On behalf of the whole Rookie Blue family, thank you to all the fans for your dedication over the last six years. After six fun and dramatic seasons, our story has come to its natural close. Alongside you all, it has been our privilege to watch [Missy Peregrym’s character,] Andy McNally develop from a young rookie to a distinguished officer. On behalf of eOne and ICF Films, I want to recognize the talented Missy Peregrym, Ben Bass, Greg Smith and the entire ensemble cast and crew who worked passionately and tirelessly to bring the characters and stories to life. Thank you to our broadcast partners Shaw Media and ABC for all of your support. As we say goodbye to 15 Division, the ICF Films team is already underway on our next project with eOne and Shaw Media and we are looking forward to sharing more exciting news in the near future.”

I loved this show for many summers and sad it’s cancelled. Why was it and I enjoyed the support and team playing all the characters portrayed. I am upset all the great shows are gone. Bring it back please
Why is this show cancelled? I am sick and tired of these good shows that I look forward to watching suddenly disappearing without any warning. Yet so much crap is continuing to broadcast. I loved all of the characters and the story lines. Absolutely no reason to cancel it. THANKS A LOT!
I can’t believe you canceled this! First of all, you ran it as a summer series when there is nothing else new on. Brilliant! I loved the show and looked forward to it every summer. I’m really disappointed by this. There are a lot of shows that don’t deserved to be renewed yet are. To take this show off the air is a mistake.
I am so sad to see rookie blue cancelled. That was the only show I really watch on the network besides Fallon. It was a great show with great actors.
ABC, HOW COULD YOU? Why do you leave the garbage and cancel a show that actually is fun to follow week to week? Much less reason for me to ever tune in to ABC!

My name is Sonia I’m from Queens ,NY and I have been a super big fan of Rookie Blue. I love Andy and Sam so much they play there parts so wonderfully great and the rest of the crew as well are all great and on point. Its a shame that the company has came to the decision not to make season 7 it would have been a phenomenal episode. Rookie Blue is an excellent show it has been it has been number one in my book I can’t believe that ABC has taken it off the air
It brakes my heart to pieces that they are doing that, not fair to us after we get to love the show and get hooked on it ,they go canceling it on us…

Rookie Blue is an excellent show it has been an excellent show the number one in my book I cannot believe that ABC has taken it off the air for good to where they’re going there going to be taken all the good shows off the air and then what are they going to do I hope another channel pick some up and proves to ABC that the Rookie Blue is excellent and can go to many more seasons on another channel

I have watched Rookie Blue from season 1 I have loved it my brothers loved it and my grandkids love it and they live in the in Denver I cannot imagine them not renewing it for a season 7 it’s an excellent show
