Last year, WGN America began airing the Salem TV series, their first original scripted series. The ratings were good enough to see the series renewed for a second season called Salem: Witch War. Will there be a third season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Set in the 17th century, Salem revolves around the Salem witch trials in colonial Massachusetts. While the town is engulfed in hysteria, John Alden (Shane West) and Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) find themselves in the middle of an epic romance. The cast also includes Seth Gabel, Ashley Madekwe, Tamzin Merchant, Elise Eberle, Iddo Goldberg, Joe Doyle, and Oliver Bell.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 350,000 total viewers.

Please keep this series going for at least a third season. For all I’ve learned about the real history of the Salem Witch Hunt, I really love this series. Not everyone watches, at the original first broadcast time or is in the favored age demographic. Some of us watch each episode more than once, trying to pick up something we missed or find clues as to what might happen next. And we tell our friends! Acting, sets, costumes, and of course the writing, are all first-rate(and I’m usually a stickler for historic accuracy) and it is so much more engrossing… Read more »
I agree with your comments, please renew Salem for Season 3! I also watch each episode more than once, and they get better every time I watch, the show goes so fast the first time. The writing is amazing, the dialog and atmosphere is exceptional. The cast is excellent, making it easy to love the characters good or bad.
Definitely a show to look forward to watching each week, hope the story continues!

WGN iam a faithful Salem lover…PLEASE please do a 3rd season…it’s a awesome show..best I’ve seen for 2 years….I loved American Horror Story however season 3 became strange and Salem filled that void….great characters lots of dramab even pulled a tear or two from me! A very entertaining show thank u guys so much I’d even love it book form!!

Please bring back Salem for a third season my family had watched every show we all get together on Sundaya and have a Salem party plus the show is very interesting in the 17th century . There is still so many plots that needs answering . WE WANT MORS SALEM
I love Salem. The best series on tv. All the actors are amazing and perfect for their part. I just watched the 2nd finale .And I’m disappointed in not knowing if it will be back. What I don’t like is having to had wait a yr to see it. I think it would be a fantastic weekly show. Please keep up great job. And I hope it will be back. If it is, try to be it back before a yr. It would get higher rating
