Tonight marks the second season finale of the Scream TV series on MTV. But, will it be the last episode of the entire series? Will it return for a third season? Should it be cancelled?
Season two of the Scream TV show picks up with Emma Duval (Willa Fitzgerald) returning to Lakewood. She’s spent several months at a retreat and hopes to put the horrific events of last season behind her. Good luck with that. The rest of the cast includes Amadeus Serafini, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, Conner Weil, John Karna, Kiana Lede, Santiago Segura, Sean Grandillo, Tom Maden, and Mike Vaughn (voice only).
The first season of Scream averaged a 0.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 750,000 viewers. Those weren’t great ratings and the current season’s numbers have dropped a lot lower. The nine installments have averaged 0.19 in the demo and 380,000 viewers — more than a 45% drop season-to-season.
Based on the ratings alone, it seems unlikely that MTV will order a third season but, these days, you never know.

I vote to renew it. Season 1 episode 1 had me hooked immediately. And both seasons were amazing. I also can’t wait for the Halloween special.

The MTV series Scream is literally my favorite TV show of all time and if there isn’t a 3rd season I will literally be crushed. I want a 3rd season and a 4th season and as many as you could give us please. Just bring back Kiana Ledé (I guess that’s impossible).
Season 3 yes please! Sequel! Sequel Sequel! Think of the avid fans who are going to be disappointed if MTV cancels this. I vote season 3 for Scream
I enjoyed second season it had a lot suspense and I thought
the characters played part so well I am looking forward to the Halloween special and definitely think that should kick of a start to a renewal please make a season 3
This show is great. If you cancel it I’m done with MTV. They only have a few good shows and MTV needs this show it is already showing alot of bad shows and this is better than anything else they have. Ratings will be better if you give it an 8 or 9 start time.

Was much better this year. loved the show and the ending. Will be very sorry if it ends after the second season. Considering all of the crap that makes it through these days, you’d think they’d get a clue about a loyal audience!

According to Netflix when I checked this morning, it said new episodes will return October 18th. The killer’s Voice at the end of the phone with Kerian stating, what gives you right to wear “my” mask… maybe this will be the return of Brendan James??
