After seasons of poor ratings and several cast members moving on, ABC has finally put the Scrubs TV show to rest.
Scrubs follows hospital life as seen through the eyes of Dr. J.D. Dorian (Zach Braff). He left Sacred Heart last season but returns occasionally to help teach a new crop of med students. Others in the cast include Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, Ken Jenkins, Sarah Chalke, Eliza Coupe, Kerry Bishe, Michael Mosley, and Dave Franco.
Last May, despite poor ratings, ABC decided to try to squeeze one more year out of the veteran sitcom. The reason? ABC also produces Scrubs and stood to make big money on additional episodes in syndication.
The network kicked off season nine late last year and registered a low 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 4.5 million viewers. The numbers dropped even further and ABC decided to burn off most of the remaining episodes in January.
In March, ABC aired the final episode of the season. The network’s website promoted it as the “series finale.” We contacted a representative for ABC who told us that it was a mistake but nobody was in any rush to change it.
Now, it appears that ABC has finally cancelled Scrubs after nine seasons on the air. With more than 180 episodes, the sitcom won’t be coming back.

i watch the scrubs reruns faithfully it is seriously my favorite showw! i need it to continue!!
abc did a terrible job of advertising a season 9. i had no ideal there were even a season 9 and scrubs is my favorite show, i just happened to look up scrubs for fun and i found out.
I loved scrubs season 1-9. Season 10 seemed to lack allot of what made the show wonderful. I would watch more if all of the original cast were to come back.
SEASON 9 is one of the best Scrubs seasons EVER!!!
Scrubs is the best show. I really liked the new season, I thought they med students were hilarious. WE NEED MORE SCRUBS!
I think they should have continued with the original cast and how their lives ended up and did without the new cast and end the season with what scrubs was all about
Why start something you won’t finish? In my opinion, they should have either ended it with eight for good, or should have kept going after nine. Why keep those of us who liked nine on the edge of our seat, so to speak.

i realy hate the fact that scrubs got cancelled and i realy hate the fact that alot of viewers didnt appreciate the show it was what i like to call intelligent comedy (yes there are many nonsensical moments.) but overall i thought it was a great show that realy touched me. in fact it’s the only show i even bother to watch. otherwise i find tv boring and not very stimulating at least scrubs was able to keep me occupied the actors and characters were wonderful and i’ll sincerely miss that show but alas i guess people want to watch… Read more »
It was going very welllll and gr8 and we want scrubs back with the same ppl who left the scrubs in 9th season….
they have to come up with the new season otherwise im ppl gonna expect ABC is not starting it coz of some Personal reasons… 😛 😛 what ever, SCRUBS should be BK…

The most recent season was awful, with those med school students. I think they should have finished on season eight, as the final episode would have been perfect as a series finale. It was once a great show, but I think it is now time to say goodbye.
Can’t we start a campaign or something, and step up to ABC.
And give them good arguments why scrubs is the best TV Show there is!!
