After seasons of poor ratings and several cast members moving on, ABC has finally put the Scrubs TV show to rest.
Scrubs follows hospital life as seen through the eyes of Dr. J.D. Dorian (Zach Braff). He left Sacred Heart last season but returns occasionally to help teach a new crop of med students. Others in the cast include Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, Ken Jenkins, Sarah Chalke, Eliza Coupe, Kerry Bishe, Michael Mosley, and Dave Franco.
Last May, despite poor ratings, ABC decided to try to squeeze one more year out of the veteran sitcom. The reason? ABC also produces Scrubs and stood to make big money on additional episodes in syndication.
The network kicked off season nine late last year and registered a low 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 4.5 million viewers. The numbers dropped even further and ABC decided to burn off most of the remaining episodes in January.
In March, ABC aired the final episode of the season. The network’s website promoted it as the “series finale.” We contacted a representative for ABC who told us that it was a mistake but nobody was in any rush to change it.
Now, it appears that ABC has finally cancelled Scrubs after nine seasons on the air. With more than 180 episodes, the sitcom won’t be coming back.

it should def do a season 10..even if it is to tell us what happens to jd.. they cant leave the show end the way it did in season 9… it was a **** end to the best show on tv….
I actually loved last season with the new crop of doctors in medical school. I think that they should bring back the show for another season. It was great. I hope that they change their minds. If not, I will just have to settle for seeing old episodes on Comedy Central.
If my opinion can make a difference here is I’m begging here is that the season was 10th series SCRUBS! I love this movie! Whenever I watch the last episode of season 8 I cry like a baby. Very, very please with the 10th season!
Scrubs is the best show in the world by far. I think that if they should have ended it, it should have been at season 8. Making a season 9 and cancelling it was a huge mistake because they left so many cliff hangers. What happened to Elliot, where did the Janitor go, Did Cole ever become a surgeon. No one know and why is that because they didn’t realize that the fan base for Scrubs is a lot more than they think
bring it back! i think everyone agrees that even though most of the original cast is missing, the show STILL had great potential, plus the new characters are very well thought.

Scrubs was an awesome show, but once Zach Braff and others werent on it, it wasnt even close to the same show or even concept. It was flat out horrible. Should not have tried to kept it alive, should have wrapped it up with his exit.
They have to do season ten. It is my favorite show of all time. Every single episode is great.
scrubs is an amazing series and the med school was a good idea. You cant leave the show off the way it is. season 10 should be renewed

they tried to kill this show so many times if they dont know whats good then dont show anymore shows they dont know what there doing. stupid networks first season four was it then 8 now 9. come on do you have a clue. if you would have supported it it wouldnt have died. it would have gone down as one of the best shows ever.
Bring it back it was awesome. Not sayin i didnt like the other 8 seasons but this is a good change if the show has to change, I liked it
