In the irony of ironies, FOX has not given Second Chance a second chance. Buzzfeed News reports the network has cancelled the drama after one season.
The freshman series starred Robert Kazinsky as a resurrected cop. Philip Baker Hall, Tim DeKay, Dilshad Vadsaria, and Adhir Kalyan also starred.
After going through several title changes, Second Chance didn’t seem to catch on with viewers. Season one ratings averaged a .64 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 2.430 million viewers.
Kazinsky confirmed the cancellation on his Twitter:

i really hate this series was cancelled. I truly enjoyed the characters and the story line. PLEASE PUT IT BACK ON.
This aired in uk and our family loved it so disappointing it’s been cancelled,
it was a change from the usual over violent shows that have us switching off, Storylines that have a lighthearted side and great characters no surprise then it’s been dropped i mean who wants people to enjoy tv anymore it’s all about violence sell’s as if there isn’t enough of that in the real world heaven forbid
we might want to escape into a good program like second chance clearly not allowed.
It’s a shame that Second Chance was cancelled. My wife and I both enjoyed the show! It does deserve a ‘Second Chance’ !!!
Definitely this should have been a keeper. It was in a advanced society, liitle comedy, but most of all exciting. Maybe should showed on a different day. Friday was good for me,
We are so upset that Second Chance was taken off. Any time we find a innovative, smart show it gets cnx’d. Meanwhile worthless shows get renewed. I don’t get it.
Please please please find another network to continue this series. It’s well worth it. Until then, thank you cast of Second Chance. You are top notch!
I agree, any show that has any thought provoking issues gets canceled and the reality shows, which takes no brains to watch, are kept!

Should definitely be given another season. I think it’s a great show. Cast are really good and the story lines keep the audience hooked. I watched 6 episodes in the one night! More please!
Please think again about cnx such an innovative, smart show. It was rarely promoted/advertised. All my friends started watching and loved it also!
Perhaps another network like cw,a&e,etc would be interested?!? Second Chance def deserves a second chance.
Wife and I really enjoyed the show. Fox executives should be cancelled, certainly their programming/ scheduling skills ( or lack thereof) would be enough to show them the door.

This is the reason I don’t watch FOX, they don’t realize when they get a very good show. This was a new, exciting adventure that kept you hanging on until the next episode. Had a good recognizable cast. Unfortunately ratings rule and it’s all about the $’s. Not how good a shoe is.

Love, love, loved this show!!!! This may be why Fox is struggling!! Cancelling good shows is a bad move. Robert Karzinsky was amazing to watch, not to mention adorable. The acting was great and the story line was captivating. So sad to see this show go. The potential was endless. Fox makes me hesitant to become interested in any of there shows……….

Standard Fox formula – pic a great scifi show – don’t show the episodes in the right order, change the time schedule within a few months and then cancel the show once people can’t find the new show. How do we cancel the execs at Fox? I dread it when I enjoy a new scifi show on fox as there is about a 85% chance it will get cancelled within the first season.
Second chance was a really good serie! Is has a original storyline and it was different from the other series. Which 80% about police investigations.. for me it was amazing that ANOTHER police-like serie would blow my mind! It is a shame that a lot of good series that I followed are cancelled with the end left open..
.. because of this I have trust issues now..
