What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, Sense8 stars Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Freema Agyeman, Terrence Mann, Anupam Kher, Naveen Andrews, and Daryl Hannah. The series follows eight people from around the world, who were born on the same day, and share a psychic connection. In the second season, the Sensates — Capheus (Onwumere), Kala (Desai), Lito (Silvestre), Nomi (Clayton), Riley (Middleton) , Sun (Bae), Will (Smith) and Wolfgang (Riemelt) –unite and dive headlong into each other’s lives, as they ponder their existence. Because Whispers (Mann) is hunting them down, the group needs to live together, fathom one another, and defend themselves.
On June 1, 2017, Sense8 was cancelled. There will be no third season on Netflix but a series ending special airs June 8, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless Netflix decides to release streaming “ratings” it is always difficult to gauge the success of streaming TV shows, like Sense8, so let’s look at what we do know. The critical response to the first season of Sense8 was mostly positive. We’ll have to wait and see how viewers respond to the second season. After the show’s nearly two years on hiatus, will the audience still care?
While we do know the actors’ contracts lapsed, a couple of months ago Netflix reportedly reached out the core cast for a third season, and was in the process of re-signing them. So, it seems the internet streaming service is eager for me to go hungry, but does P.E.T.A. care? Well, my phone’s not ringing. I can tell you that much. I was so upset on the cancellation of Sense8 and called Netflix. I couldnt believe there was not enough viewers. I always looked forward to watching the show and felt apart of it. If there is any way to change the minds of those responsible to reinstate the show, I would be ever so grateful along with the many followers.
I’m soooo disappointed they cancelled Sense 8.. 🙁 🙁 I rarelly get addicted to series, but this one was one of them. I just loved the idea, the message it gives, and all the characters. Please please , lets continue with season 3!Its just amazing!!
The story, character focus, and overall plot are amazing. It is truly worthy to be taken all the way to the end of the story. I just read about a two hour final! Is this true? Everyone-fight for the show!!!!!

I love Sense8! I want a season 3! Why did season 2 end that way if there be no season 3. Disapointed if season 3 is or was cancelled! I enjoy Netflix and have been a member for years.
