Earlier this season, CBS renewed newbie shows Scorpion, Madam Secretary, and NCIS: New Orleans for another season each. The network’s other new drama, Stalker, was glaringly missing from that list of early renewals. Is it doomed? Will Stalker be renewed for a second season or will it be cancelled instead?
A cop thriller, Stalker follows the work of the LAPD’s Threat Assessment Unit, a team that investigates incidents of stalking. The TV show stars Dylan McDermott, Maggie Q, Victor Rasuk, and Mariana Klaveno.
The series debuted in October to a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.07 million viewers. It wasn’t exactly an impressive start for the new series and the ratings dropped 10-14% in week two. That wasn’t too bad of a decline and CBS ended up giving Stalker some time (a “full season” order) to prove itself.
Unfortunately, the ratings have been dwindling downward for most of the season. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 1.2 rating in the demo and 6.74 million viewers. CBS has no shortage of successful crime/legal series and numbers like those are too low for CBS. The network could bring it back for a second season but that seems highly unlikely.
Last week’s installment was Stalker’s 17th episode and CBS supposedly only ordered 20 of them for the season. It’s unclear if or when the remaining trio of episodes will be shown. Saturday night airings seem like a natural move at this point.
New series CSI: Cyber — starring recent Oscar-winner Patricia Arquette — takes over the Wednesdays at 10pm timeslot next week. It’s a natural fit for lead-in Criminal Minds since both revolve around FBI units.

Loved the Show, we watched it every week, please bring it back for another season
I can’t believe CBS is even considering canceling Stalker…as far as my family and myself are concerned, it was the best show on television. We eagerly waited for the next episode to see what was going to happen next. The story line was great, and there isn’t another show on, that is even similar. I hope there will be enough support for Stalker, that CBS will reconsider canceling the show. Please don’t cancel!!! The new show that is in that time slot is just horrible!

Why would a show like the Simpsons stay on for so long (and by the way I have never watched but have only seen previews….which is enough) but Stalker is being cancelled. Wow, somebody just doesn’t get it.
I think this show is very interesting and entertaining. I hope that they do not change it.
My all time favorite show of the season! It has excellent actors and keeps the viewer on the edge of my heir seats! Another disappointment …will keep to Netflix!
This is such a good show. What a shame to replace it with ANOTHER CSI show. PLEASE bring it back . Keep the good one. Forget CSI. It’s a bomb in my opinion.
Just completed episodes 15, 16, 17. My DVR malfunctioned and lost Pilot & episode 2. I had to watch last 3 on CBS app on my phone but it was worth it. Hope CBS will air 18, 19 & 20.
This is an awesome show hitting on things a lot of people deal with these days. The actors all seem to fit the show. Please bring it back or hopefully another network can pick it up.

I agree with all of the comments I’ve read thus far. Stalker is truly a thriller. It is a show I make time to watch each week. It is way better than CSI Cyber, which seems contrived and a copy of all the other shows.
Have been waiting for the next episode, and hunting around to find out where the show is..I DVR all episodes in case I can’t watch them live. I love this show….please don’t cancel!

This show is an awesome thriller show. I could hardly wait for the next episode to see what would happen. It is a story within the characters as well as showing a stalker episode. Please bring it back! We don’t need another CSI show.
