The story of the young “star-crossed” lovers is coming to a close. The CW has cancelled Star-Crossed after one season of 13 episodes.
Star-Crossed revolves around a pair of teens — one human (Aimee Teegarden) and one alien (Matt Lanter) — who fall in love and struggle to overcome the discrimination and distrust around them. The rest of the cast includes Grey Damon, Natalie Hall, Malese Jow, Titus Makin Jr., Chelsea Gilligan, Brina Palencia, and Greg Finley.
The series debuted as a mid-season replacement and never took hold in the ratings. The premiere drew a lackluster 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demo with 1.28 million viewers. Subsequent episodes performed even worse, making Star-Crossed one of the network’s lowest-rated shows.
There are just 13 episodes in the season and the finale, titled “Passion Lends Them Power,” will air next Monday night.

The show wasn’t even advertised. How can you get ratings for a show that no one knew about. I saw it on Netflix and it was fantastic. This is disappointing. Wish there was a way to bring the show back.
are you kidding me?! I watched this whole series in one day, that’s how good this TV show was. PLEASE RENEW THE SERIES! THIS COULD MAKE SO MUCH MONEY!!!!

I can’t believe star crossed is being cancelled!..I absolutely love this show!…I didn’t get a chance to view it on regular tv but caught up on 1st season via netflix…I was so looking forward to the next season…I hope cw will reconsider..the casting and acting and writing are awesome!
I am sad to see that the show Star Crossed has been canceled especially, since I just found out it existed on Netflix. I watched the first season within a few days and I really want to see season two.
This is so upsetting!!! I was really into this TV show and came to find that it’s cancel.!! In my opinion there are far more ridiculous TV shows just as teen moms and stupid crap on TV. However, this is a really good family show that the CW cancel… Im just so upset with how the story line ended.
Please don’t cancel the show because I enjoyed the story line.
I just watched this whole season on Netflix, I never knew the show was even a show until the other day. I am very upset to see that there will be no more seasons as I think this is an amazing show… Put it out there and make a season 2!! I know many people that will watch if they know it is on!!
Really???!!!! You have all these stupid reality TV shows that get renewed for like 13 seasons, but a really good family show like Star Crossed gets cancelled after one!!! What is wrong with TV people!!!! Plus, you have it end the way you did with no farther story??!! I think the network was STUPID for canceling this show after one season!!!!! PLEASE don’t cancel star crossed for good, OMG I watched the whole first season within 2 days, that’s gotta say addicted to anyone who watches an amazing series. Please this show is SO worth a second season, especially with the cliffhanger us fans were left with.
I totally agree with you, this show had me staying up all night just to keep watching it! I love it and am very dissastified that it is cancelled! I was just googling it so I could set a series recording on my DVR to catch all the other seasons!
