Star Trek Beyond just came out in theaters on July 22nd. Recently, director Justin Lin revealed to Collider that his initial cut of the film was 25 minutes longer than the one seen in theaters.
The movie is the third in J.J. Abrams’ reboot franchise. The cast includes Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, and the late Anton Yelchin.
In the interview, Lin said his initial cut of Star Trek Beyond was around 2 hours 27 minutes, with the theatrical version being cut down to 2 hours and 2 minutes. The director added that he’s still unsure if the deleted scenes will be included in the DVD and Blu-ray.

Yes, I would like to see Star Trek Beyond Deleted scenes on DVD and Blu-ray and I also want to see the director’s cut. I mean, I think Paramount should have plans to release the 147 minute version of Star Trek Beyond on DVD and Blu-ray. Just like Warner Bros did with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
i never buy a disc of the movie and watch it on vod rarely. but, if ‘cut’ bits were restored properly into the movie…i’d buy every time…otherwise…nothing special
