NBC has had great ratings success with airing The Blacklist after The Voice, their biggest series. Will State of Affairs be a hit as well? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
State of Affairs follows a top CIA analyst (Katherine Heigl) who assembles the President of the United States’ Daily Briefing (PDB), weighing the vital security issues that face the nation. She has a close personal relationship with the commander-in-chief (Alfre Woodard) as she was once engaged to the president’s now-deceased son. The rest of the cast of this dramatic thriller includes Adam Kaufman, Sheila Vand, Cliff Chamberlain, Tommy Savas, and David Harbour.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: NBC has cancelled State of Affairs after one season of 13 episodes.
1/19 update: If you ran the network, would you cancel or renew State of Affairs?
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

Should say LOVE IT.

Please don’t cancel this show. It is one of the few shows I watch.
Why are they canceling the show, I wait every Monday to watch it. There is so much more this story can spin. Why is it that they can just tell the viewers build up. As from the 2/17 the view rating as went up, so more and more people are now getting to know the show. Please not another great show u are going to x. Don’t cancel it I love Katherine Heigl and all the actors on the show.
I couldn’t wait for the Hungarian serie finale so I watched it in English. And after this ending the cancellation cannot be serious! We don’t know what happened! In my opinion there is still so much potential in this story.
Légyszi, legyen második évad! (=Please, keep it for a second season!)
Liz from Hungary
Great cancel. Don’t show.
Wait, I mean great show, don’t cancel.
Hopefully it won’t be cancelled, but if it is, at least the cliffhanger has a believable ending. Charlie dead, Nick dead, POTUS killed everyone who killed her son.
