NBC has had great ratings success with airing The Blacklist after The Voice, their biggest series. Will State of Affairs be a hit as well? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
State of Affairs follows a top CIA analyst (Katherine Heigl) who assembles the President of the United States’ Daily Briefing (PDB), weighing the vital security issues that face the nation. She has a close personal relationship with the commander-in-chief (Alfre Woodard) as she was once engaged to the president’s now-deceased son. The rest of the cast of this dramatic thriller includes Adam Kaufman, Sheila Vand, Cliff Chamberlain, Tommy Savas, and David Harbour.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: NBC has cancelled State of Affairs after one season of 13 episodes.
1/19 update: If you ran the network, would you cancel or renew State of Affairs?
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

Absolutely love this show. I’ve gotten other people hooked on it too. Don’t make a mistake keep it on.
Love the show!
Love this show! And I don’t care about the time slot, that’s what DVR or TiVo are for. I watch it that night no matter how late I get to it.
Do those ratings include people watching online, DVR, TiVo, iTunes, etc?

This is one of the best shows on tv. One of only shows worth my time. Reality tv has become boring. Please renew.
Please do not cancel this show, it’s the best of its genre!!!
Please do not cancel this show, it’s the best one in this genre!!!
My husband and I love this show! Every episode is like reading a good book. There’s lots of action and intrigue. The characters are well cast and the chemistry works. We hadn’t watched NBC for years but this show, Blacklist, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD have changed all that and State of Affairs is at the top of the list. Keep up the good work.
i don’t care what network picks it up, as long as there’s a 2nd season, I’m good. Fyi my wife and I work nights. All the shows we watch are DVR recordings. Come to think of it, I think the only thing I watch on live tv are sports events. And even those are sometimes watched on a delay. Might have to switch to streaming television shows .
