Telly’s Take
Sun Records got off to a mediocre start and the ratings dropped quite a bit after that. CMT has very few scripted series and this one attracted about half as many viewers as the first half of season five of Nashville. Sun Records could easily be cancelled.
5/5 Update: CMT has confirmed there will be no season two of Sun Records. Details here.
6/5 Update: The producers are shopping Sun Records, season two, to other outlets. Details here.

Renew renew renew!!! Oh my gosh I love this show! Please renew for heavens sake!
Please renew ! I love this show and look forward to it every week !
Please renew. I’m 28 yrs old and I just finished the season. I loved it Heard about it from a co-worker. I don’t normally get into too many shows but this definitely got my attention. I definitely look forward to seeing more of sun records. It grabs attention of anyone of all ages thats interested in the music background and how it came to be. So again please renew
I am 70 years old and the Sun Records series blessed me with 8 (less commercials) hours of reminiscence of my youth, metered out an hour per weekly session. Please bless us with a season 2.
I’m looking forward to more episodes of Sun Records.
Yes, it had a slow start, but I really got interested in the program.
Please don’t leave us hanging. Hoping for a second season. Thank you.
Great show, just 25% to many commercials, I realize that commercials pay for the programming, but somewhere you just have to draw the line, I really do like this program, but having to tape it for a later time, then fast forward thru all the commercials is just not good business for any program, If you showed “Gone with the Wind”, it would take an extra 60 minutes, Maybe it would be a good idea to make this into a major film instead. I’d be happy to pay and go see it !
We love it. Please renew!!!
Please renew. It’s a great show. It started out slow. But was just getting good.

Renew Sun Records please, can’t wait for season 2.. I love it!
I haven’t even seen it and would say as Sun Records is a vital important US historical entity, a TV drama about its creation is essential for the generations that follow enabling them to understand our past and cultural heritage.
