Telly’s Take
Sun Records got off to a mediocre start and the ratings dropped quite a bit after that. CMT has very few scripted series and this one attracted about half as many viewers as the first half of season five of Nashville. Sun Records could easily be cancelled.
5/5 Update: CMT has confirmed there will be no season two of Sun Records. Details here.
6/5 Update: The producers are shopping Sun Records, season two, to other outlets. Details here.

I agree plez bring it back
Really want a season 2!
Great show! Please bring back for season #2.
Love this show, my whole family watched season 1 in one day. Couldn’t get enough. Most realistic show on depiction of truly great artists and Sun Records. If shopped to right networks, would have been a huge hit. Hoping someone picks up Season 2.
If the show was on a regular network, not cable, it would have had more viewers. I recorded it, played it for family and friends and they all loved. So sad if someone doesnt pick this up.
This show was terrific. The actors were perfectly cast and it’s a shame that it was not renewed for a second season. There is so little quality episodic series and to lose this one is sad! Bring it back and let us see how their lives and careers unfolded through the years!
Please bring back this show. This is my all time top favorite….Please please please
My wife and I loved the show. Please bring it back. It was so much fun to see how the young musicians rose the the top. Very disappointed on CMT’s decision to cancel the show. Shame shame
Love this show. My husband and I looked forward to season two. Please someone pick this show up it is amazing.
Yes, it should continue. Great show
If it was on network and not on CMT or cable it would have had lots more viewers. Great show
Can’t believe such a great show like this would disappear. Loved all the actors and the historical story line was fascinating.
Wish it was on NBC CBS or abc would of been great. CMT sucks anyways
I thought sun records was one of the best shows on tv, please give it more time and for Pete’s sake don’t cancelled it!
