Actor Judd Hirsch has starred in many TV shows over the years. Some have lasted for many seasons while others have been cancelled. How will his newest show, Superior Donuts, perform for CBS? Will it be a hit in the ratings or, a flop? Will Superior Donuts be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
Based on the Broadway play, the Superior Donuts TV show revolves around Arthur Przybyszewski (Judd Hirsch), a no-nonsense owner of a small donut shop in Chicago. He’s a gruff guy who realizes that times are changing and help comes in the form of a go-getter named Franco Wicks (Jermaine Fowler). Franco convinces Arthur that he can bring the shop and its irritable owner into the 21st century. Others in the cast of this CBS comedy are Katey Sagal, Darien Sills-Evans, David Koechner, Anna Baryshnikov, Rell Battle, and Maz Jobrani.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/23 update: CBS has renewed Superior Donuts for a second season for 2017-18. Details here.
5/9 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Superior Donuts TV show on CBS? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for second season?
Seconddddddddddddd
SEASONNNNNNN FOR SURE Waiting patently
Thankyou for your statement or should I say opinion Greg, everyone has a right to one, so here is mine, it’s nice to see Katey Sagal back on the screen also the others, I think the show is very broad minded in its ways of diversity and tactics, over all a second season would be money well spent, its funny, got its sad parts & does put a lot of lessons across as well, thankyou for letting me have my say.
Cheers
Now that the season is ending and the ratings have not dropped enough to justify a reversal of the renewal, I now concede and accept that I failed to put this show off. I am sorry to all who supported me and counted on me. To the fans of this show, I am sorry if I offended any of you but I was just trying to put this bad show off. I will leave you all alone now but I will continue my fight to put off other vulgar shows.
Needs a second season! Fantastic show!
Awesome show hope it gets another season
LOVE this show…..full of laughter…..everyone works well on the show…..do NOT cancel it !!!!
A decent comedy that deserves a second season. Only negative too much emphasis on Race.
I love how the show is hilarious and how it fights racism on its own way!! Thank you, and keep it up (y)
If you don’t like this show, don’t watch it. but don’t get it cancelled with your negative comments, just because you don’t like it. There are other people who like it, like me 😀 and want to watch it. heheh
We absolutely loved this program, and REALLY miss it…..Bring it back. Lots of comedy, loved the characters. Too funny to cancel. So many other dud shows on instead. This is SAD….:( Bring back the ODD couple too!
