At the recent Television Critics Association press tour, ABC Entertainment Group President Paul Lee reflected on cancelled mini-series The Assets.
He said that he was proud of The Assets creatively and as a business model, even though the ratings were a disappointment. “That one was actually a great experiment [with our news division] and we’re going to continue with that experiment even though the show didn’t work.”
Lee noted that, “In the end, what we need do as we test out different pieces [of programming] is to find ones that work both financially and creatively so that we can have programming the whole year-round.”
The network president also said that the remaining episodes of The Assets would be made available at some point in the future — either on the broadcast schedule or via one of ABC’s digital platforms like ABC.com.
What do you think? Are you open to watching limited series — even though the network may still pull them early? Would you like to see the rest of The Assets?
I really enjoyed watching this series, why does ABC do this? They resumed broadcasting the series last month & now it’s gone again, can’t they just finish it once and for all, you suck ABC!!
PLEASE show the rest of the episodes of the Asset!!!!! It isn’t fair to pull a series after 2 shows then show us 2 more only to pull it again & leave it undone!!! It was an intelligent story & then it’s replaced by a low brow show like Mistresses? Really are we all that stupid?
ABC hasn’t actually left it undone, they’ve merely delayed it. According to TheFutonCritic (link below) they’re finishing out the series on Sunday afternoons, running two episodes back-to-back on July 27 and August 3.

When last I looked, the ABC website for the program had no such information.
And the answer to your question is, “They obviously think so.”
I want to see all of the Assets episodes… Do not Cancele…..
