On the previous episode of The Dead Zone, Johnny (Anthony Michael Hall) and his son JJ (Connor Price) were having new visions of Armageddon. Apparently the end was closer than they knew.
After six seasons, USA Networks has chosen to cancel the science-fiction series. Coincidentally, Dead Zone’s last episode aired on the same night as The 4400’s which has also been cancelled. It was suspected that time was running out on both series as they’ve both been on the air for several seasons and have grown more expensive. USA reportedly searched for ways to cut costs so the shows could be renewed but they ultimately decided to pull the plug.
Of the two cancellations, USA exec Jeff Wachtel said, “We wish we could keep all our great shows alive forever. But we feel we need to give some of our new shows a platform to grow, and it’s with great sadness that we say goodbye to two shows that had a great run and helped create the resurgence of original programming on our network and on all of cable.”
There’s been no word of any plans to bring the series’ unresolved storylines to a close. Stay tuned!

Just got watching all of season 6 what kind of crapy ending was that if they cancelled season 7 why not just do one episode to conclude this series i just dont get why they would do that to us am pissed.
I can not believe they let the show die, the shows currently airing should be cancelled. They should atleast conclude the story.

i hate it when they do that,why cancel such a great show,i wish they would go to season 40 for all i care and i would still watch it,its the same with jericho another great show i got season 1 and after that they canceled it WYYYYYY,there is so much garbage on the tv its all about sex and drugs,and all the good shows has to die so so sad
sad…thats all i can say this was easily my favorite television show. also i would like to say that since the cancellation i have not watched one single show on the usa network.. hopefully im not alone in this. they should be very embarrassed for having ran a television network in such a manner….but hey, this is just my opinion thanks for reading it
I think its crazy to end a show that needs an ending like the dead zone!!!! you could have found a way to make a season with like 5 episodes. but you dont care about your fans that brought you 6 seasons

Being in Australia Dead Zone was cancelled from tv yonks ago and I have ordered all the dvd’s for each season. Both my fiancee’ and I are also astounded how a show that has so many followers can just be pulled like that.
I agree with the comment above a telemovie conclusion would be the answer for everyone involved….
The show may be no more … but the characters we came to love over the years will live on..
