On the previous episode of The Dead Zone, Johnny (Anthony Michael Hall) and his son JJ (Connor Price) were having new visions of Armageddon. Apparently the end was closer than they knew.
After six seasons, USA Networks has chosen to cancel the science-fiction series. Coincidentally, Dead Zone’s last episode aired on the same night as The 4400’s which has also been cancelled. It was suspected that time was running out on both series as they’ve both been on the air for several seasons and have grown more expensive. USA reportedly searched for ways to cut costs so the shows could be renewed but they ultimately decided to pull the plug.
Of the two cancellations, USA exec Jeff Wachtel said, “We wish we could keep all our great shows alive forever. But we feel we need to give some of our new shows a platform to grow, and it’s with great sadness that we say goodbye to two shows that had a great run and helped create the resurgence of original programming on our network and on all of cable.”
There’s been no word of any plans to bring the series’ unresolved storylines to a close. Stay tuned! 
Thing about it we have wasted our time watching all the seasons its just not right :(.
Can’t believe I just spent so much time watching 6 seasons straight of a show that has no end! It just disappears! I agree with the comment about skipping the networks and their ads and just watching Netflix. Word to the wise… before starting an addiction, make sure you’re going to get a resolution!

to up profits and put in fillers in the show and then just cancel the show when ratings are
down, giving no thought to the viewer or end plot.

My God!! I cant believe they plan to leave us hanging in there!!! At least if that was the plan they should’ve wrapped all the loose ends in season 6! instead of all these new things that put us in for a loose end. I hate that! Stillson is a bad guy, GOT IT, when are Sarah and Johnny going to get married?
I mean seriously they cant just air 6 season and then decide that people dont need to see what happens in the END!! 🙁
This is not good at all how can they do something like this when is run for so long, at least let it finish so people know what happens and that. 🙁

The show needs to be brought back to finish what was left so unfinished. Why dosn’t the syfy channel pick it up like they have done for other previously canceled shows?

I agree with the above posters – TV stations keep pulling this and we’ll ALL cancel cable and stick with Net Flix – why bother to be loyal and sit through the ads if they don’t give a rats tail about the fans!?!??

Now let’s see….USA network boldly portrays a part of idiotic america/political america. They kill things that work. I say why watch any show that they are distributing; if anything for the fact they may pull it. Instead of family drama/sci-fi they opt to go towards wrestling…well isn’t that nice. USA you are not the only one who can pull the plug…I have with you since you made the dense decision to cancel Dead Zone and the 4400.
im frm singapore and i’ve watched all 6 seasons of the dead zone, its the best show i’ve ever watched and its such a letdown that usa network is killing it. well i dont think the execs from usa network will ever read this but im pretty sure they will have quite a big loss in viewer ship due to their stupid decisions. yea everything is about money, the stupid execs in usa network get paid a lot of money but they cant even end a great series decently. hey usa network, u guys better fire those so called “executives”… Read more »
i have been a fan for a long time now and i wish they would have ended it better then they did i would like if it came back its was one of the best shows left on tv.
These guys should start making a movie to finalie the Series instead of just cancelling them. What is up with TV stations nowaday…Let them pick a leaf from prison break instead of a whole lot of expensive season 5 there was just a movie The Final Prison Break, but look at all the cancelled stuff, Vanished, Rome, Traveller, ……….. Sucks.

I’m sad to see The Dead Zone end the way it did. I wish there was some way to put some clusure to the characters story lines. It’s a little disappointing.
