In an age in which so many TV shows are quickly cancelled, A&E‘s The First 48 will premiere its 15th season on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 9:00pm ET/PT. The long running, non-fiction crime series kicks off with its 300th episode. The docu-series, narrated by Dion Graham, films around the U.S and features real detectives who try to locate missing persons in the crucial first 48 hours after disappearance. A&E NETWORK’S INDUSTRY-LEADING CRIME & JUSTICE PROGRAMS RETURN ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5
SEASON 15 OF ‘THE FIRST 48’ DEBUTS WITH ITS 300TH EPISODE AT 9 PM ET/PT
NEW YORK, NY – OCTOBER 8, 2015 – A&E Network brings its critically-acclaimed original non-fiction crime slate back for all new seasons this fall. The long-running and profoundly compelling series, ‘The First 48,’ returns for its 15th season on Thursday, November 5 at 9 PM ET/PT.
‘The First 48,’ the most watched non-fiction crime series on cable, enters its 15th season of real-life investigations with unprecedented access to crime scenes, forensic processing and interrogations. Homicide detectives from the nation’s top police departments in cities like Minneapolis, Tulsa, Atlanta and New Orleans are followed in real time during the critical first 48 hours of a murder investigation. The story unfolds as they race to find leads, witnesses, and evidence – before they disappear. And the clock is ticking.
In the 300th episode and season 15 premiere of ‘The First 48,’ a young woman is found on the floor of an abandoned house; naked and strangled to death. As the investigation unfolds Atlanta-based detectives Scott DeMeester and Vincent Velasquez must act fast before their suspect kills again.
“The First 48” is produced by ITV Studios America for A&E Network. The Executive Producer for ITV Studios America are John X. Kim and Alexis Robie. Executive producers for A&E are Laura Fleury and Peter Tarshis.

What do you think? Are you a fan of The First 48? Do you plan to watch the 15th season?
The First 48 is an all time favorite for a lot of people. It’s not about watching someone die, it’s about seeing the dedication of these hard working men and women, trying their hardest to catch the person (or persons) that do the utmost ultimate crime of murder. It shows cops as compassionate people who really care about the families of the deceased. I know that my respect for officers has quadrupled since watching The First 48. PLEASE NEVER CANCEL THIS SHOW!
Can’t think of a television program that comes close to the real drama of First 48. Don’t care for “After the First … or Missing Persons” spin-offs!!! My favorite detective teams; Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Louisville and Memphis. The teams in those cities will earn your respect! Keep it up!!!
Love the first 48, hope it goes for a long time!
Have watched The First 48 since inception and have to say it is the best nonfiction tv show on the air. I don’t think my wife and I have missed an episode thanks to DVR. Love the after the first 48 episodes. Always nice to see murdersous people get their due.
Please Never Ever!!! Consider canceling this show. As sad as it is to watch a killers documentation it happens on the world and won’t stop if first 48 doesn’t air anymore. This is real and the best show on television.
Admin: The First 48 follows homicide detectives, who do not generally investigate missing persons cases.
This is one of the saddest programs that I have ever seen — so much senseless violence of young people, by young people, wasted lives, broken families, and fatherless children. Probably the best documentry series that no one has ever heard of. Ironically, The First 48 was mentioned during the Trayvon Martin murder trial by Rachel Jeantel, and the killer’s attorney had no idea of what program she was speaking of.
I love this show. I’m glad it is still on. Watch it every Thursday…..Do not cancel this program.
If only all TV programs were this good. Of course that isn’t possible, so I am thankful to A&E for having the foresight not to try and fix what’s not broken … My opinion, thanks …
Hey, it can’t be just your opinion. This show is about to start its 15th season and air its 100th episode. What do you like about it, Kamramna?
