An American-British Hulu drama, The First stars Sean Penn, Natascha McElhone, LisaGay Hamilton, Hannah Ware, Keiko Agena, Rey Lucas, James Ransone, Anna Jacoby-Heron, Melissa George, Brian Lee Franklin, and Oded Fehr. The story centers on the astronaut crew attempting to be the first humans on Mars, as well as the families they’ll leave behind.

This is a wonderful series with a great cast. I don’t understand why it was cancelled in the first place. Someone else should pick this show up.
Hulu SUCKS!! Why would they cancel such a good show??!! I really liked the first and want season 2!! Why is it that these networks keep horrible shows but cancel the good ones??!! Most working class people can only watch streaming when their off. They should try collecting their data a different way than what their doing bc its not accurate!
I want more. “The First” is better than most tv offerings. All the characters are great, well drawn, with the intrigue that makes me want to know them more. Please produce season 2, and 3 and 4 and . . .
Loved this show! Incredible cast, story line, suspense …….gotta know who the guys with the yellow phone!!!!!!! How could they not make more seasons?????
We were anxiously waiting for Season 2; so much so I joined a service just to watch when it was released, which I have never done before. The First was a show that we easily sat through and were captivated by the storyline and it’s characters. It’s not easy in the present day to keep my attention with a series. The First grabbed us and made us gasp the first episode. I thought it could be a fluke but it continued each episode afterwards. I adored this show. I need to invest in characters in order to invest in any show or movie. The character development was superb. I am WITH THEM, and think it would be a crime to not go forward, as they have!!

Absolutely loved this precisely because it isn’t the standard sci-fi fare. This is much more engaging all round. Every element of the show is superb and I love the music! We need a second series now that the mission is underway and ee’ve been introduced to these great and flawed people.
