Netflix has released new information about the upcoming fourth and final season of The Killing.
The fourth and final season of THE KILLING picks up right after the season 3 finale. As Detective Linden (Mireille Enos) and Detective Holder (Joel Kinnaman) struggle to manage the fallout from their rash actions at the end of last season, they are assigned a new case — a picture perfect family is murdered, survived only by the son, Kyle Stansbury (Tyler Ross), who was shot in the head during the massacre. Joan Allen guest stars this season as Colonel Margaret Rayne, the headmaster of the all-boys military academy where Kyle attends. The new season also stars Gregg Henry, Sterling Beaumon and Levi Meaden.
THE KILLING is created and executive-produced by Veena Sud. Mikkel Bondesen is executive producer for Fabrik Entertainment. Kristen Campo also serves as co-executive producer for Fabrik. “The Killing” is produced by Fox Television Studios for Netflix.
The first three seasons of THE KILLING are available now to stream globally on Netflix.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to watching the final six episodes?
Where do I get a copy of season 4 final episode through netflix? Am I able to rent it at Redbox or other?
Still not sure why this show was cancelled on tv….Storylines had good twists and turns…Actors were excellent! It’s unfortunate that during a time in which reality tv rules, dramas are not that prevalent on television!
To Angela, You hit all the reasons in your post…Great show, excellent acting, the “Film Noir” touch was absolutely genius….But it was not a crappy reality show or full of gratuitous sex …. So it gets the axe, like so many other exceptional shows :-/
I loved this show as well…. too bad it went to netflix! Didn’t get to see the last season at all.
I very happy that we are going to get closure ~ But saddened that one of the few shows on television that has any depth to it is, again cancelled… I have to wonder are there no viewers who appreciate “good” television ?
Loved this show.Dark and mysterious, what more could you ask for?
