In week two, The Mentalist fell 7% in the demo to a 2.6 rating and 12.92 million. That matches the show’s second-lowest demo rating and is the fewest number of viewers in the drama’s history. The series is still popular but it’s not really a hit for CBS any longer.

The season premiere ratings came as a disappointment this time around. Despite ending last season on a big cliffhanger, the show was down year-to-year by 18% in the 18-49 demographic. It garnered a 2.8 rating with 13.56 million viewers. It was second place in its timeslot.
Reference point: The 2010-11 season averaged a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 14.53 million viewers.

The show was outstanding tonight 10-7-12, when his daughter said good bye, the emotion shown on his face was worthy of an Academy Award…WOW
CBS is getting rid of the Mentlist when it needs to get rid of some the crap they have on unfortunately the crappy ones get more viewer’s. tells you that a lot of people like filth instead of good entertainment. Sorry crew of Mentlist loved you all.
To whom it may concern;
RENEW THE SHOW IT IS THE BEST THING CBS HAS GOING……RENEW, RENEW,RENEW…
Thank You.

I love The Mentalist. It is an amazing cunning show! I love watching

I already know that The Mentalist has been picked up for a 5th season and couldn’t be happier..love, love, love Simon’s Patrick Jane character, and the supporting cast is great too…BUT please enough already with the Red John storyline…Patrick and his colleagues would have caught this guy already!!
OMG!! Where do they think they are going with this.
