You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

This show was great and CW needs to definitely rethink the decision on cancelling the show.
i loved the messengers. I’m so Sick of investing time in a show and then having it cancelled. I plan to wait on series from now until they last at least 2-3 seasons and then I’ll watch on Netflix or Hulu. This blows.
This show should definitely come back for season 2. I’ve watched every episode in season one and it is really good.

Okay first of all. CW may not read any of all these post in here . But.. Seriously!!!! Why???,Why??? Did you cancel this show??? My family and myself were into it.. You guys at CW are wrong for cancelling this show. You guys never gave the show a chance. Trust us when we say this show rocks!! Instead you have silly shows that i won’t name.. Because its not worth my time typing those shows names.. Bring back The Messengers !!!!!!!! Seriously!!!!!!!!

My mom got me hooked on it. Please bring back this show! I want to see what happens with Michael and Amy as they grow up. And, I like the message of hope that’s underlying throughout the series.
Renew the show! It’s the only TV show I watch since the rest of tv is full of foolishNess and stupid crap.. it sucks when your tv show gets cancelled an you were just becoming “normal”.
Please don’t cancel the messengers. It was a great show. Hope the ones in charge change their mind and renew 2nd season.
the messengers was fantastic don’t end in one season like that it was just getting started the show was great me and my co-workers were planning on really getting into it for the second season we couldn’t wait. When I had to tell them that it was cancelled they are all fuming mad how could you do that. Take off that stupid IZombie nobody watches that crap.
I actually really enjoy this show and would recommend it to all of my friends because show maybe about angels and horseman of the bible but the cast is so diverse with their beliefs that they still decide one way or another that they will save the human race the content in this show and the plot line make this story captivating this is the only show I would rather watch on a Friday please do not cancel it.#lovethisshow
I loved the show. But it seems that anything related to God doesn’t seem to matter. When people choose Catelyn Jenner over anything in regards to God it shows how far this Country has sunk in regards to our moral code.
I feel the messangers should definitly be renewed!!!! it is a very fun show to watch and is one of my favorite TV shows. The second season will be or should I say would have been alot more intense with the cliffhanger. I am extreamly disappointed with the cw!!! it is hard to find a authentically good show now aday I really hope another station picks up where they left off and I hope it’s blows the old ratings out of the water!! Since that is all they care about…

The Messengers was pretty good! It was a whole lot better than other shows out now. I had some issues with the theology of the show, but all in all, they should definitely renew it!
I find it to be a very serious situation when TV networks cave in to what I call foolish television because you want to amp up ratings for dumb reality tv shows to appease the network big wigs who really do not care about quality shows that evidently alot of your followers truly enjoy versus the smut that is being aired on a regular basis.
