You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

please continue this story!!!! we beg you!!!! you should have do some research or a questionnaire and throw it to the audience asking for answer before you cancel any show!!!!! this is a great show….i was so looking forward to it…and so disappointed when i found out it was cancel…the whole world is watching!!!! we didnt have the same channel here in Asian!!!! you cant be serious when you took the result of your tv rating when other people watch later at other places or online!!!!!! we need the messengers back@!!!!!!!

OH NOOO!!!!!! Please don’t cancel messengers…. Finally my whole family, friends and I’ve found episodes that have really good messages, but CW cancel it??? Why??? You guys really need to bring back seasons 2 and more!!!

It’s a shame that shows that attempt to have a decent message get put on bad nights and receive no support. It’s a good show with some real possibilities. It deserves to have another season or at least have a good ending.

I enjoyed watching the messengers. I was looking forward to see what was going to happen in season 2. Especially after the way it ended in season 1. What a disappointment to cancel this show
What the heck people! I just found this show and spent a week watching all the episodes only to find out it was cancelled. With all the TV channels out there, sometimes it takes more than a few episodes to find a fan base. Give the show a chance and renew it for anther season.

I think the messengers should not have been cancelled. Even though there are not a lot of viewers, there is still viewers. I really enjoyed this show and hope in the near future there will be more episodes.
I feel like you should have a season 2 of the messengers. All you networks cancel all the good shows!! This is rediculous! !
