You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

bring the messengers BACK. it was awesome.such series are very rare.it had avery good story i loved it so much.we want season two.satan vs GOD. THE ACTORS DID THEIR BEST TO BRING OUT THE BOOK OF REVELATION.

I like the show but I watch it on Hulu as I’m sure may do so our viewing won’t be recognized. You should consider that.

I just discovered the show and liked it so much I watch the whole first season in less than three days! I’m very sorry to hear that there will not be a season 2.
Of course they’re canceling “The Messengers”. How dare you have a show that even somewhat deals with God.
I enjoyed the entire season.
It infuriates me that they keep shows like keeping up with the kardashians and the new “hit” i am cait” tv, but take good shows off the air.
They left the show very wide open, and there is so much that could happen.

The messenger is the best series this year…it shouldnt be cancelled!!!! You should continue the series…so disappointing if the series is not continued!!!! Maybe you should advertise the series more…because people didnt know about the series. Everyone who watched it will definately love it
