You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

I very well love the tv show and would like to see season 2 since the way season 1 ended it wouldn’t be right to jus leave us asking a bunch of questions about what happened

What d hell is the problem with them?
I lo ed the show cuz it was so different and it talked about God’s messes as opposed to show make fun of or just direspectful. It was Rea refreshing HATE to see it go I was really waiting g on season 2 with the little girl being the Antichrist.

I think it’d crazy not to have a season 2 of the messengers. Even if it’s released only for Shomi it’s been very popular with people I know.

Poor Form CW, “The Messengers” is/was a wonderful series, sure there was a few parts that could have been done differently but overall we looked forward to each and every episode and we put our whole circle of friends onto this brilliant series to boot! Every week we would discuss the latest episode at length wondering what the next would hold in store for our poor Messengers. In my opinion, I think that the show should not have been cancelled. i liked the show very much! My wife and I watched this show every week and we were waiting for the second season, and we are disappointed that it will no longer be aired!
This is unsatisfactory to say the least. Messengers is an amazing concept and this has been happening to many wonderful shows that keep us on the edge of our seats. Please give us a season 2. Finish what you have started at least!

Very well said Raymond! My family and our circle of friends are all hooked on this wonderful show and would love for the network to continue with their commitment and carry this wonderful production through to it’s end and not end a story barely half way through!
If this is the way the directors at the network tell stories or read books, stories that have real meaning, to their children or grand children I can only but imagine how happy those kids must be feeling!
