Debra Messing has had mixed success on NBC. Will & Grace ran for years while Smash was a ratings disappointment for most of its short run. How will The Mysteries of Laura perform? Will it be renewed for a second season or will it be cancelled quickly? Stay tuned.
The Mysteries of Laura revolves around a brilliant-but-harried NYPD homicide detective (Messing) who must also juggle her home life, including raising her young twin boys and trying to divorce her husband. The rest of the cast includes Josh Lucas, Laz Alonso, Janina Gavankar, Max Jenkins, Vincent Reina, and Charlie Reina.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/9 update: NBC has renewed The Mysteries of Laura for a second season. Details here.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like The Mysteries of Laura TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This show is the most enjoyable we have watch in so long. Is is a Drama with Humor at times. Please keep it going, I speak for many friends. Thank you!
love this show. Debra Messing is an awesome actress and she plays the part of Laura well. I hope it gets renewed.
I love Messing’s character’s kookiness. A very refreshing change from the heavy, dark cop dramas that are popular right now. Hope it renews!
So, I enjoy this TV show and hope the timid fools that run this TV network re-run it an not go cancel it like the timid mice at the Disneyland Mickey Mouse TV Network did yet another really great TV Show “Killer Women” that also featured a strong type female in the leading role and who also was hot looking Ranger Molly! Oh well did anyone else also happen to notice the way the network brass keep putting these TV shows that feature talented women in time slots that also have to compete against endless mindless sports and more stupid… Read more »
It’s an amazing show! One of my favorites, I hope it’s renewed!
Love the show!! Hope it makes it to season 2, 3, 4….
I love this show! It is the best hour long show out there and it makes me laugh. Please do not mess up the dynamics of this show and renew, renew and renew!
LOVE IT!! 🙂
Isabel and so do I, however tonight when I tried to watch it that stupid “The Voice” garbage was on instead so I wonder if the braindead NBC Brass are trying to kill the show?
I love the show and look forward to it. I enjoy all of the characters and the interplay that has developed. Keep it going!
Love this show. The chemistry between Laura and the food truck guy was great. Agree with comments on the kids, they need to be toned down. The rest of the characters are terrific. Save this show.
I love this show and vote it go on for a second season.
I enjoy this show because everyday ordinary people can relate for many reasons. All of the actors are exceptional and one can see that the cast has created a good connection, which is a good thing in today’s world. Love the chief/dad.
I love the show Messing is a great actress. Love the cast keep the show on!!!!
Enjoyed the show and looked forward to it every week. Hope it renews.
Stupid show….bad writers…Like Messsing, too many cop shows on air and three cop show in a row good grief! Give Messing a better format and better writers.
There is too much hard core crap on TV now, and for some reason it’s gets rave reviews from critics. This show is a lite, pretty funny cop show for adults. We need some shows for the adults in the house. The show needs just a little tweaking however. Dump, downplay, or drug the kids!! Transfer the dad to another precinct and bring in a new male chief. Get some sexual tension going like” Castle” did Laura and the new guy. Oh, and did I say loose the kids?
