A Starz fantasy spy thriller based on the 2012 Daniel O’Malley novel, The Rook stars Emma Greenwell, Joely Richardson, Adrian Lester, Olivia Munn, Jon Fletcher, Ronan Raftery, Catherine Steadman, Gina McKee, Ruth Madeley, Eleanor Matsuura, Shelley Conn, Tamsin Topolski, Barry Atsma, Luke Roberts, James D’Arcy, Michael Karim, and Michael McElhatton. The supernatural series follows Myfanwy Thomas (Greenwell), who awakens in the rain at London’s Millennium Bridge, but has no memory and cannot explain the circle of corpses surrounding her. Myfanwy is a key member of Checquy, the last actually secret service in UK, and it protects Extreme Variant Abilities (EVAs). As her own supernatural abilities emerge, Myfanwy must dig for the truth about herself.

I loved this show, and have watched each episode several times. They did a fabulous job with Gestalt. Please keep that going and renew for a second season.
Without a doubt one of the very best shows on TV ever! You would have to be an absolute ninny to cancel this show.
I absolutely love this drama. What’s not to love about a young woman finding herself? We all have gifts, but we all don’t acknowledge them or even encourage them to develop to their fullest potential. The acting is phenomenal – across the Board, from Rook the King. Gestalt intrigues me. Please, please let there be a Season 2. I can’t wait to discover what happens NEXT!

p.s. I hold my breath every time Conrad speaks. Some powers are too creepy.
It took me several episodes before I figured out Teddy & Alex were played by the same actor. I just love what the show did with the Gestalt character vs the book and the actors are just outstanding.

I enjoyed The Rook very much. I tuned in because I had read & enjoyed the book. The show departed the text quite a bit. In some ways it was very successfully done – mainly in the development of characters Monica and Gestalt. Really interesting and excellent work there by Munn, Steadman, Fletcher and Raftery. The ‘mystery’ of Myfanwy’s memory departed the text less successfully and, despite excellent acting all around, lacked some of the tension a thriller needs. Have become addicted to this show now, very much want more seasons. A slow and steady buildup hooked me completely.
Loved the books, but it took me a while to warm up to the shows. However, I really enjoyed the last couple of episodes, and tonight’s finale. Would love another season.
ROOK:Love the show. If it’s not renewed I’ll have to read the book. I have to say the last episode put everything together but left so many things open. Looking forward to 2nd season.

Really enjoyed the book series… enjoying the stars original show as well. Would love to see stars incorporate more of the sci-fi mystery portions so far lacking. Keep it up! I’m hooked!!
I love the series so far!! Can’t wait to see where it goes!! I hope it continues to get better and better! Still waiting though for the supernatural element to become more prevalent and visible
