At today’s Starz portion of the TCA Winter Press Tour, CEO Chris Albrecht said that the cable channel is considering a sequel to The White Queen — The White Princess.
According to Deadline, he said, “We’re working with [The White Queen screenwriter] Emma Frost on the stories… We will not have BBC as part of it. We are interested, if the stars align, in a sequel to The White Queen.”
The limited series apparently performed well for Starz but was less successful for the BBC which co-produced. The latter has decided not to continue with the property.
Like the original series, The White Princess would be based on the book by historical novelist Philippa Gregory.

They’re just isn’t enough of anything that follows the first Tudors.I want to see Elizabeth of York and Henry v11,having their family,what happens to her sisters,her mother etc…So maybe Ms.Gregorys awesome version of historical events is too racy for BBC,but In America,we love racy!!

If a season 2 is written, I hope that the storyline remains closer to the original book. Season 1 was just ok. The books were so eloquently written and had so much more storyline that was left out! I was disappointed. Ms. Gregory is an amazing writer and historian. If the season sticks with her, it can’t fail.
I love The White Queen…I’ve watched this show over and over again. They need to do Season 2 already..I’ve know mad people who love this show and want it back on air…sometimes when you think not enough people are watching, you may be true and maybe it’s because not enough advertising of this was maded but the more people watch the more popular the show will become especially if you have Season 2. I know cause when I talk about the show people what to know more about it.
Please bring back the show.
