(Silver Spring, MD) – Break out the fireworks this 4th of July for Discovery Life’s ER WEEK, a week-long programming stunt giving viewers behind-the-scenes access to emergency rooms across the country. The never-ending onslaught of unpredictable medical moments returns to Discovery Life, culminating with the US premiere of the six-episode series, TRAUMA DOCTORS on Friday, July 8, at 10/9c.
ER WEEK gives viewers unprecedented access to the emergency rooms in America’s largest cities including New York, Boston and Baltimore. Discovery Life’s most harrowing episodes of NY ER, SAVE MY LIFE: BOSTON TRAUMA, TRAUMA: LIFE IN THE ER, 911: THE BRONX, and SHOCK TRAUMA: EDGE OF LIFE, will showcase some of the most dramatic and blood-pumping medical cases. Nothing is guaranteed for these medical professionals, and each day brings more pressure as they treat life-threatening ailments.
It all leads up to the premiere of TRAUMA DOCTORS on Friday, July 8, at 10/9c. These elite doctors take the emergency room to the streets providing on-site medical treatments that are normally only done in hospitals, transforming a patient’s chance of survival. In the premiere episode, doctors perform a blood transfusion on the side of the road after a woman is hit by a truck; then, the doctors transport a man who fell 15 feet from his ladder and may have a collapsed lung.”
