Is there still a future for Trial & Error? Deadline reports Warner Bros. TV is still open to a third season of the cancelled NBC TV show.
As previously reported, NBC cancelled the comedy anthology after two seasons. The cast includes Nicholas D’Agosto, Krysta Rodriguez, Steven Boyer, Jayma Mays, and Sherri Shepherd.
The peacock network decided not to pick up a third season in August 2018. The cast’s options hadn’t expired yet so the studio used that time to shop the series elsewhere.
Although Warner Bros. TV has not yet found another network for Trial & Error, the studio says it is open to the idea of a third season should the opportunity arise. The show’s regular cast’s contracts have now expired so their contracts would have to be renegotiated, making the possibility of a third season even more remote.

I’m heart broken. This show was the freshest comedy. The writers, the actors, and how they carried the story over to second season but with a new twist? Brilliant! You felt like you were part of this town. So funny! Please, I hope this show will continue with another network. NBC has no clue in what they cancelled.
Quirky, off-the-wall humor appeals to a group of people who are simply not into main stream sitcoms. Please shop this show to other outlets. The writing is funny and the actors seem to really enjoy performing in this show. Watching it is great, escapism entertainment.
I love Trial and Error so much. Please please bring it back! It’s so funny and there’s still so many stories that can be told.
This show is hysterical. The word play is LOL funny. And Sherri Shepherd’s ‘diseases” are so over the top & I don’t know how she ever keeps a straight face filming them. I would love to see it come back anywhere so I hope a deal can be made.

i was so disappointed that nbc cancelled trial and error. always over the top comedy, great cast. hopefully one of the streaming apps could pick it up for a 3rd season and maybe ever more beyond that.
Season 1 and 2 were brilliant. I loved the core cast and the special guests (John Lithgow and Kristin Chenoweth ) Brilliant writing and acting!
COME ON….we need this type of comedy, Very funny show, please find it a new home. Take advice from the people not from network executives.

Season 1 was funny, season 2 not so. So I not that sad about the show ending.
Very funny show. I’m hoping someday Warner Bros. TV starts their own streaming service to air their shows. Networks aren’t as in a TV program invested unless they own the show.
