Last year, ABC Family introduced three new dramas — Twisted, Ravenswood, and The Fosters. Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off) has been cancelled while The Fosters has been renewed. What will become of Twisted?
Airing on Tuesday nights, Twisted is a mystery/thriller series that revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly fell again but ABC Family ordered 10 additional episodes of Twisted anyway. That decision may have been influenced by the fact that they had recently cancelled Bunheads and The Lying Game.
When the second half of the season kicked off in February and viewership nearly hit a new low, despite the fact that it had popular Pretty Little Liars as a lead-in. Last week, when Twisted no longer had that strong lead-in, viewership hit an all-time low with just 726,000 viewers.
The second half of the season averaged 1.11 million viewers. Ravenswood was cancelled with higher viewership. Based on these numbers, it’s looking unlikely that ABC Family will order a second season of Twisted.

I LOVE THIS SHOW. Honestly, I feel as though this show is more entertaining than Pretty Little Liars. The only reason why Pretty Little Liars has more viewers is that the show has been on longer, so the viewer are loyal even though the current season is less entertaining and realistic than the previous ones. Al I have to say is SAVE TWISTED. Several hot new series have been cancelled, like The Nine Lives of Chloe King and The Lying Game. I watched twisted on Netflix and I loved it had me wanting more I hope its back on ….
Yes!! Please keep the show, I watched it recently and I really loved it. Besides, you can’t end it like that at least one more episode, I’ll be devastated with the doubts.
Please renew twisted. I watch the first season on Netflix and instantly fell in love with it. I enjoy most of the abc family shows but this one is amazing. I have no clue why I didn’t start watching it sooner and if more people knew how amazing this show was then they would love it too. So please don’t cancel it and give people a chance to discover this incredible show!

I dont think that twisted should be cancelled because of how it ended and because people including myself are still counting on it to come on. I am a very big fan of twisted even before it started because of just the commercial and its my 2nd favorite show(criminal minds is the first favorite) and I’ve been worrying if twisted will come back on for months.
Abc family will make annoucement saying twisted canceled for good What they care about is how many people watch there abc family shows on live and twisted isn’t one of them things aren’t looking that great they’re only saying wheather or not if it will be canceled or not but not certain to be renewed or they just wraped up theit series for good
I think twisted should be brought back because the show shouldnt end with a new mystery beginningwe just found out that Charlie isJoe’s half brother which means there’s still a lot to be solved and if they are cancelling the showis there going to be able to play someone like twisted.
Keep the show! I just watched the 1st season on netflix and im in love with the show. If there won’t be a season 2 I will be heartbroken!!!!
