Last year, ABC Family introduced three new dramas — Twisted, Ravenswood, and The Fosters. Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off) has been cancelled while The Fosters has been renewed. What will become of Twisted?
Airing on Tuesday nights, Twisted is a mystery/thriller series that revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly fell again but ABC Family ordered 10 additional episodes of Twisted anyway. That decision may have been influenced by the fact that they had recently cancelled Bunheads and The Lying Game.
When the second half of the season kicked off in February and viewership nearly hit a new low, despite the fact that it had popular Pretty Little Liars as a lead-in. Last week, when Twisted no longer had that strong lead-in, viewership hit an all-time low with just 726,000 viewers.
The second half of the season averaged 1.11 million viewers. Ravenswood was cancelled with higher viewership. Based on these numbers, it’s looking unlikely that ABC Family will order a second season of Twisted.

Please don’t cancel twisted every show I get into has been cancelled on abc family besides switched at birth and pll and fosters.. The lying game was my absolute favorite and it got cancelled and then ravens wood got cancelled to stop making shows and canceling them it makes people mad
Please don’t cancel twisted. I have Netflix and that was all i watched. I loved it so much that i watched the first season in less then 2 days. so please don’t cancel this show.:)

Okay! Just when I thought the plot had all unraveled. The writers exquisitely came up with even more Twists and Turns. This show is wonderfully unpredictable. Please lets get a chance to see what the writers come up with
next season?

Ugh! I was super mad about The Lying Game being cancelled! Please do NOT cancel Twisted too. I do not always watch while it airs but that doesn’t mean I do not watch it. I sure there are many people out there who got into it after it already started. Not cool to leave the fans hanging. It needs to continue and finish. They are constantly cancelling shows and it gets so old. I drove all my shows because I do not have time to sit and watch when they are on. I loved the lying game and Ravenswood and they have cancelled both of tjose. Please don’t cancel twisted too! At least give us one more season to let us know what happened
okay i recommend if the channel wants to stop losing viewers then stop putting tv shows up when all your gonna do is take them down after one season. i was such a huge fan of ravenswood and i legit cried when i saw it was canceled, and thats just me i bet their are so many others whom have also loved one of the channels shows but it got canceled after one season. i believe even though the channel lost a few viewers that doesnt make it okay to cancel it and devistate the others that were deicated and… Read more »
