Last year, ABC Family introduced three new dramas — Twisted, Ravenswood, and The Fosters. Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off) has been cancelled while The Fosters has been renewed. What will become of Twisted?
Airing on Tuesday nights, Twisted is a mystery/thriller series that revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly fell again but ABC Family ordered 10 additional episodes of Twisted anyway. That decision may have been influenced by the fact that they had recently cancelled Bunheads and The Lying Game.
When the second half of the season kicked off in February and viewership nearly hit a new low, despite the fact that it had popular Pretty Little Liars as a lead-in. Last week, when Twisted no longer had that strong lead-in, viewership hit an all-time low with just 726,000 viewers.
The second half of the season averaged 1.11 million viewers. Ravenswood was cancelled with higher viewership. Based on these numbers, it’s looking unlikely that ABC Family will order a second season of Twisted.

8/13 update: ABC Family has cancelled Twisted after one season.
Definitely renew this show, towards the last few episodes we as viewers started to receive some much anticipated information. Information that in shows alike such as PLL took years to acquire. This show is great and I highly recommend a renewal of the show.
Please dont cancel twisted at least do one more season and in the last episode reveal everything dont leave us hanging to the point were I feel neglected. The fans care a lot about this tv series including me. This is one of the popular tv series many people watch these kinds of shows. I love this series please dont cancel it please.
Bruh. I really just started watchin this show on Netflix and I ALREADY FINISHED IT. I really love this show and I was disappointed when I saw that there was not going to be a season 2. Like Emily said, the last episode left us hangin. Please bring it back.

I think it should have be renewed. We watched the entire first season which left many unanswered questions and felt cheated, not knowing what happened next! Had I known it was only one series, I would not have watched it. I enjoyed it, found it entertaining and easy to watch.

twisted should most definitely be put back on ABC family. Not only is it thrilling but makes you constantly want to watch more & see what happens next.
I think they should renew for another season because we don’t know what happen with Charlie , Jo if Kyle shot Charlie or not. Or what happen with Danny and Jo and their relationship if they are together or not so we’re kind of in the dark about what happen with everything in the last episode also why jack and his daughter were acting weird and say that we have danny and Karen now don’t worry so their should be a other season because we need answers

If they did then they would’ve loved it. I’m telling you!! I would know because I watched the whole thing on netflix and then at the end, I cried because there wasn’t anymore episodes left. ! Please we want season two.The actors are very nice and the script is great.We want to see the wonderful story of Danny and Jo.

Twisted should have a second season or at least be renewed. I mean ending the show like that is like taking a good mother from its child. Please don’t leave us hanging ABC Family.
I am so disappointed that Twisted was not renewed. Avan Jogia is very convincing in his role. This was the best show on tv in a very long time. Most of the stuff on tv now is not worth watching.
How can you not RENEW Twisted??? It is one of the best shows you have brought to TV inmany years.. I just got back from snowbirding in Florida with my husband and started watching this show a couple of days ago for the first time. We went on a marathon which we have never done before. In 2 days we covered 9 shows. I’ve shared Twisted with all my friends and they all agree and will be sharing with their friends. Now I hear you are cancelling.
