Last season, the Live + same day ratings for Once Upon a Time dropped more 30% on ABC. Can the series recover? It’s tough to attract new viewers when a show like this one has so many characters and such a complex back story. Could this fantasy drama be cancelled or will it be renewed for a seventh season? Stay tuned.
Once Upon a Time follows the continuing adventures of fairytale characters whose tales unfold between their storybook world and Storybrooke, a small town in Maine. This season, the good guys will have to contend with inhabitants from the Land of Untold Stories and the return of the Evil Queen. The large cast includes Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Lana Parrilla, Emilie de Ravin, Colin O’Donoghue, Jared S. Gilmore, Rebecca Mader, and Robert Carlyle. Expected to recur are Beverley Elliott, Raphael Sbarge, David Anders, Jessy Schram, Tim Phillipps, Ingrid Torrance, Peter Marcin, Hank Harris, Sam Witwer, Tzi Ma, Gabrielle Rose, Kristin Bauer van Straten, and Agnes Bruckner.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/15 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

Last year comparison: The fifth season of Once Upon a Time averaged a 1.37 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.40 million total viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you still like the Once Upon a Time TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a seventh season?
5/11 update: ABC has renewed Once Upon a Time for a seventh season. Details here.
This is not fair as i am from WA and GWN7 have refuesed to broadcast Once Upon A Time season 6, resulting in many people like me having to wait until it was released on DVD. Its not our fault we cant watch it live or same day, and some of us cant access internet currently so have no way to stream it on 7plus. And this would explan the sudden cause of decrease in viewers!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to increase the viewer numbers, find a better channel that everyone can access, rather than (in WA) broadcasting it on 7flix… Read more »
OUAT should either be cancelled or end in May this year, if it is cancelled then it will not be the first show in history to end without closure, there have been many other better shows before it which have gone the same way.
Please, make last season 7. I see why some people tired of watching, but we need ending. What about Emma’s visions? What happens with Regina and Emma in dream world after they met Robin? It can’t just stop casting in the middle of a plot…
Cancel or end it this May, Once used to be a good show, it hasn’t been good since season 3, I think this was due to a change with the writing team.
Time to call it a day with Once, this show is dead in the water.
Cancel it!!!!
If people who used to love the show, don’t like it anymore because they think it has become a joke and a travesty then other people need to build a bridge and get over it, if former fans don’t like the show anymore they have every right to express that opinion regardless of what anyone else thinks and every show has to end sometime whether you like it or not, end of story.
If someone wants the show to stop then they should just stop watching!!!And let the rest of us that still like it to continue living in our fairytale.I still love it and I d like it to continue.End of story.
renew!!
This show isn’t worth renewing anymore, I can’t stand what they’ve done to the characters and their stories, everyone is just going around in circles there is no progression whatsoever, the writers do not seem to know how to write for their show anymore, it’s time to call it a day with OUAT because the damage has been done and I’m sure ABC would like something fresh and new that will allow it to actually compete with other networks next year instead of carrying this dead weight show which is dragging them further down all the time.
This show has fallen to pieces since season 4 and should have been cancelled last year, cancel it or end it with 6B.
Cancel it, thanks to the writers this show is done, the writing is on the wall.
Cancel it its too depressing now
When will we know if season 7 is renewed or not????? The tention is killing me!!! and I love ouat and hope the show will have more seasons to come(:
I go back and watch the old episodes because it’s so good! Plus, I want to know what happens next in the Story and who comes and joins Storybook. Like I said on the comment I put, renew it because it’s that good of a show.
