Sadly, the Visitors aren’t among us any longer. After two short seasons, ABC has cancelled their V TV series.
A reimagining of the original V, this series tells the tale of what happens when an advanced alien race arrives of Earth professing their desire to help mankind. Fortunately, not everyone trusts them. The second season features the talents of Charles Mesure, Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Joel Gretsch, Laura Vandervoort, Logan Huffman, Morena Baccarin, Morris Chestnut, and Scott Wolf.
For season one, V ended up averaging a 2.25 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic and 5.7 million average viewers. It was “on the bubble” but ended up being renewed for a 13 episode second season. The network was hoping that the show would catch on and the ratings would improve.

ABC later reduced the episode order to just 10 installments and debuted them mid-season. Unfortunately, ABC’s gamble didn’t pay off. Season two of V ended up averaging only a 1.9 in the demo and 5.49 million viewers.
Though the network and producers maintained that the show was still in contention for next season, it was clear that there would only be a third season of V if ABC was willing to gamble once again. In the end, they weren’t.
ABC confirmed today that V has been cancelled after two seasons and 22 episodes. The series finale aired on March 15th and, unfortunately, there were lots of unresolved cliffhangers. Hopefully the producers will someday share what they had in mind for season three.

I cannot beleive that Season 3 has been cancelled, I have been waiting in anticipation for ages, so dissapointed.
That stinks. I was waiting for it to comeback on. Maybe they were getting bullied by the government because it portrayed to reality such as the sleeper cells and the resistance. Always the good shows that are worth watching are the ones to be cancelled. You Suck ABC
I totally agree with what everyone is saying. The executives at ABC are idiots. I thought the show was great. I really like sci-fi, I still watch the old shows of V. I think they will regret canceling the show. Way to much reality TV and not enough shows with great story lines that entertain us. Like the other comment said, at least make a tv movie of V to close out the show and not leave us wondering what would’ve happened. I”m with all the other comments. I don’t watch much TV and when something final arrives past the stupid reality shows I’m hooked.
First Charm, then my soap One Life to live now V – I was waiting for an ending from last season. I wind up here searching to find out when it was going air again knew it was about tha time for it to come back. and here is another bomb to a really interesting show.
this sucks, just found out today that two of my favorite tv shows got cancelled, terra nova and now V. im just so sick of reality tv, if i have to hear one more thign about that nasty looking fat slob snookie ima freak!! bring back some dag gone fictional tv shows!!
I am shocked at how many truly good shows are cancelled. And yet, garbage just goes on and on. The dumbing down of the USA just keeps going.
There are individuals out there who want to stay away from reality TV. Fiction is a way for some of us to leave the real world behind and just relax. I enjoyed the V series and am saddened that it was cancelled.
ABC is full of it before people even caught on they killed the series. I don’t watch ABC and hope others follow.
At least turn the show into a movie to bring some type of closure to the story. I feel as if my emotions are being manipulated…. wait a minute. This was Anna’s (ABC’S) plan all along!
they did the same thing with the original V back in the 80’s aired only part of it and left you hanging. total crap. i guess if its not “reality” they think it is not worth it

Another awesome show canceled. LAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe if the weren’t worried about making billions and worried about true fans I’d watch more ABC. I understand the writer’s strike stuff that was cancelled, but hey, I would’ve wrote it myself for my fans, but wtf do I know, Kyle XY, the Royals, Flashpoint(WTF!!!) are a few that started to get good then boom GONE! Gamble my ass. Show some reruns? Losing fans hard is every station that cancels stuff like that. I think there were some political pressure involved. There were a lot of comments and reports how V closely resembled how Obama policies, health plan and the way big goverment was taking over. Interesting that ABC pulled the plug, they really don’t want anything that would cast a bad light on Obanma and his chance of re-election.
