Vicious has been cancelled by ITV. There will not be a third season of the series. There was speculation earlier this week that the show was being cancelled.
A previous TV Series Finale report talked about the possibility of a cancellation when news of a special for the series was announced.
The Sun has now reported that the one-off special will make the end of the series. A spokesperson for ITC said the following about the end of the series:
“It’s been an absolute delight to see Ian McKellen, Derek Jacobi and Frances de la Tour bring alive these wonderful characters on screen for ITV viewers. We’re over the moon all the cast are returning for one final special.”

About time they cancelled this awful awful show. It’s dated and not funny. The writer needs to move on and think of something new.

It was such a great show, I can’t believe it was cancelled. Here in America, they would not out give this show a chance versus all the idiotic reality show crap or mindless cop/medical show dramas. This was refreshing comedy and to have it cancelled was insane! It was at least great to buy the DVDs to watch. My mother even loves this comedy to hear her laugh says they did something magical, Thank You!
Why is it that tv networks cancel great shows!? Vicious was brilliant in every way! I am sad to see it not renewed.
This was a fantastic show! Smart, totally funny and very refreshing! I told everyone about this show and have been waiting or season 3. Bring it back please!

I am very sorry to hear that the show is being cancelled. I just loved the show & thought all played their roles superbly. It was a lot better than most of the dribble found on the telly.
