What do you think? Do you still like The Walking Dead TV series on AMC? Do you think it should have been renewed for season eight so soon? Should it ever be cancelled?
I am pleased with they way season 7 stayed true to the comics with the killing of glen ( though I wish they would have through the all the seasons) ! I hope they continue (to stay true) as the groups prepare for war. I absolutely love this show and the comics! I must admit with with the producers sueing AMC , that it’s a possibility of TWD being canceled. I hope that’s not the outcome! To the people out there saying they are over it! If your over it , go watch something else ! Don’t spoil a good… Read more »
It’s time has come–it needs to be cancelled. They crossed a threshold with Negan–the show has turned into a depressing bore and as for FTWD–WHY? The Zombie thing is truly tired.
I feel like it’s time is just starting. All Out War is just starting, and if you read the comics, there is a lot that will happen soon. As for FTWD, I hate it. It will never reach the potential that TWD has.
Note how the ratings declined with the intro of Neegan character, you wrote off some great characters and replaced them with crappy ones… waiting for Neegan to get his walking papers, then I will resume watching!
Seriously people, it’s the apocalypse, people are going to die, we can’t have it be happy every episode. The point is people are fighting for their lives in the apocalypse. People die and new people come along. That’s how it works, get over it!
It’s pretty simple – the writers screwed up big time this season and took the show in a direction that 20% of the viewers didn’t want. Eliminating Abe and Glen in the opening episode this year, and making Neegan the focal point of the show was a huge mistake! Now they pay the price. American’s always want a feeling of victory in every episode. And why would I want to continue to be depressed week after week seeing characters I loved and adored tortured and disrespected. I would rather watch CNN!!
This is kind of late, but the point of the ‘Zombie Apocalypse’ is that people are fighting for their lives. They aren’t going to win every battle, they aren’t super heroes, they are humans. There is a lot of victory in the episodes like the season 7 finale, but they can’t always win
TWD is a staple in my household. Every Sunday my wife and I watch it. I even own Seasons 1-6 on DVD. I would hate for the show to be cancelled.
I love TWD. With that being said, I feel the show should only go for two more seasons. Next season, have and complete the war with Negan and then end the series in season 9. Now as I’ve read a lot of the comments on this site, and it appears that most of you are experts on how to write a tv series, how to develop characters, and when a show should be canceled. Well…. I don’t know very much about those kind of things, but I just think that there’s only so much you can do with the overall… Read more »
I refused to watch any more episodes after this season’s premiere. I’ve always liked the approach that TWD was willing to kill off somewhat lead story line characters, but there were some un-killables. They crossed the line with the mass murders of our favorites. I might have been willing to accept the story line if they hadn’t made it so absurdly and gratuitously violent. That was uncalled for. No more TWD for me–ever. I’m glad the viewership is down & I hope they get cancelled asap.
Have you read the comics? The producers killed glen just how they did in the book. Ab was supposed to get an arrow through the eye not Denise. I wish they would have kept the storyline more closely nitted . If they did ! Andrea would still be alive and a bad ass , rick would be with her not Michonne . Plus , he would be missing a hand . Tyrese was a bad ass too! Carol dies in the book : no one is safe! That’s why the call the show the walking dead: because rick realizes the… Read more »
I’ve always said, if Daryl, Rick, Carl or Carroll are killed off, then I am finished. They need to kill off Negan and that entire story line and things will improve. I cannot stand that bat slinging idiot. And personally, I love that Rick has found love, Geeezzzz…….People, he needed a little bit. Now, Daryl needs some too!!!!
I’m pretty late for this, but Negan needs to stay. In the comics, he has so much character development. He bows down to Rick later, and loses his bat. Chill out and wait
Well now that you told people what happens way into the future, that leaves even less of a reason to watch it.
Very boring season
Than I really hate to see what boring is to you…:)
i would say SAD., not boring.!?
Please cancel this show already, it is horrible! My wife still likes it and once it’s gone I’m canceling my Cable TV we never watch it anymore (all garbage) and saving $1,000/year.
When you have an episode with two of the main characters and it makes the lowest rating of the season it means you did something very wrong. Putting them together, #Richonne as they are called, destroyed the characters. TPTB were fooled by the shippers making noise in social media thinking they would make a power couple that everyone would love, but in the end, there is only a small portion of the viewers that wanted Richonne. Now a lot of people have to stand the leader making stupid decision after stupid decision because he has fallen in love and cannot… Read more »
You know that things are not going well when you reluctantly continue watching a show you’ve been attached to for years. The Walking Dead is en route–or has already reached it’s destination–to a laughable ending similar to the one that ruined Lost.
The Walking Dead has become dead itself–horrible script, pure filler episodes, and unnecessary violence plugged in here and there, screaming desperation to keep the viewers engaged. This is a cheap tactic, as this is truly the only way the show can gain interest anymore. There is no character development–except I’d argue that Carol is the most well rounded, constantly growing character–and Rick’s brief “embrace Negan’s policies” and cowering like a beaten dog was incredibly short lived. Unfortunately, it seems that The Walking Dead has come to it’s last dying breath, succumbing to constant repetition and major plot holes. The show… Read more »
If the story was different from the comics, I would watch it. But too late now, they faucked up.
