As reported last night, Syfy has renewed Warehouse 13 for a fifth season. Unfortunately for fans of the TV series, this will also be the final season and there will be just six episodes.
Here’s the cable channel’s press release:
SYFY ANNOUNCES FIFTH AND FINAL SEASON OF ORIGINAL SERIES “WAREHOUSE 13”
NEW YORK – May 17, 2013 – Syfy today announced that its long-running flagship series Warehouse 13 will return for a fifth and final season of six episodes in 2014.
A production of Universal Cable Productions, Warehouse 13 will begin filming in Toronto this summer.
Said Mark Stern, President, Original Content, Syfy, and Co-Head, Original Content, Universal Cable Productions: “Warehouse 13 has been an incredible signature series for us. We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan base and know that Jack Kenny, his gifted creative team, and outstanding ensemble cast will give them an amazing finale season.”
Warehouse 13 airs on Syfy Mondays at 10PM (ET/PT), following the new hit series Defiance at 9PM (ET/PT).
Warehouse 13 follows a team of government agents who work at a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota, which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and preternatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The Warehouse’s caretaker Artie Nielsen (Saul Rubinek) charges Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly), Claudia Donovan (Allison Scagliotti) and Steve Jinks (Aaron Ashmore) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him control the Warehouse itself.
Warehouse 13 is produced for Syfy by Universal Cable Productions. Jack Kenny (The Book of Daniel) is executive producer and showrunner.

What do you think? Are you upset that Warehouse 13 will be ending? How would you like to see the show end?
This is as disappointing as when they cancelled Eureka. Going to skip watching SyFy and buying seasons on iTunes. Why do they feel that canceling great shows like Warehouse 13, and Eureka and keeping the stupid reality shows in production (Faceoff excluded) makes for great TV. I used to watch lots of SyFy channel series, but like others have said, why get invested in a series if they are just going to cancel it when things just get going good! Guess I need to stop watching Defiance before I get hooked on it and it gets cancelled. Dodge, pull you… Read more »
I agree I hope that the show gets picked up by another network. I love Warehouse 13. It is one of my favorite shows!!! I don’t think it is time yet to end it. Unlike a lot of shows Warehouse 13 has over time only improved in its complexity. It is a unique show because it has strong female and male characters. But it is far more uncommon for a show to have strong female characters who really like and love each other. No bitchiness. There is not a male female romantic dynamic between the main characters either. Steve is… Read more »
I will never invest any more time into any series on siffy. Warehouse 13 is such a great show with a cast that really works well together. I am sad to see it go away before it’s time. I truly cant believe that anyone would watch Defiance or any other new show on siffy after it has repeatedly proven that it will cancel it on a cliffhanger or with an abbreviated season. It’s like they sell you a book and then come to your house right before you finish reading it, and tear out the last pages. My hope is… Read more »
that will be end of syfy for me without the warehouse there isn’t much to see. all the good show have been taken off it getting to be tv is just a waste not worth even watching. except for the few & they are almost gone
Sad to see this show ever end. . . .there are no really good “science-fiction” shows that take place in the present time. I enjoy this show because the plots most oftern related to things either used or belonging to real people in history, with a twist! The cast works together so well, that it really looks as though everyone is having the best time, and that makes me want to see more of them! A real shame if this series ends next year, and end worse if it ends with a “short season”.
I cannot believe that WH13 is being cancelled. It truly is a show of “endless wonder” and I am sure that the creative team has not exhausted their artifact treasure chest. This is another way to dumb down the channel – instead of giving the true SciFi fans what they seek.
I think it is a Shame “Syfy” is only giving us one more season of Warehouse13!It seems they, like MTV before them, has forgotten what their channel is about!I will hate saying the same thing I say about Syfy as I do MTV, “I remember when they played music!”(being a MUSIC VIDEO STATION!), noe Syfy, is letting go if the Sifi parts….Wrestling?Really?!I guess in a few years I will be saying “I remember when the Syfy channel ACTUALLY PLAYED Syfy shows!”Keep Warehouse13!!!!I do NOT care about game shows, or wrestling!
I’m surprised at SyFy. The fans, Warehouse 13 itself deserve much better! When I say goodbye to WH13, I’ll also be saying goodbye to this channel.
People, you knew that the Sci Fi channel wouldn’t be a good channel as soon as they eliminated the “Sci” and “Fi” from their name. SyFy is as related to science fiction shows as MTV is to music videos. Now it is all about making the least expensive shows that can bring in money. So you get lots of ghosts shows, a fair amount of game shows, and quite a bit of filler. This is all about the bottom line now, and soon you will be hard pressed not to find the channel filled with reality shows that are even… Read more »
The days of the Sci-fi channel are long gone. Hit show after hit show gets dropped for more “ooo.. What was that…… Nothing” crapola and wrestling. Sy-fy has been a joke and once WH13 is gone so is this viewer. Shame on NBC.
If this show is getting canned because of the costs of producing Defiance (which I’ve heard) that’s total shtako! WH13, Grimm, Once… and Person of Interest are the only three shows I really look forward to week after week. Why mess with a successful show that is nowhere near creative decline?
Four shows LOL – I added one in after I typed that.
Once again SYFY has cancel one of there better show to make room for the crap they put in its place.
Guess “syfy” needs more wrestling shows.
6? Why bother?
Only six! What a joke! WH13 deserves a better send-off then that! Come on SYFY
To Mark Stern cancelling warehouse 13 and only having six episode is a poor and s…. way of rewarding your fans
