There won’t be a third season of magic for the ladies of Witches of East End on Lifetime. The cable channel has cancelled the supernatural drama after two seasons on the air.
Witches of East End revolves around the ladies of the Beauchamp family who’ve discovered that they are witches with ancient magical powers. They must defeat unearthly enemies while keeping their abilities a secret from the other townspeople. The cast includes Julia Ormond, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Rachel Boston, Mädchen Amick, Eric Winter, Daniel DiTomasso, and Christian Cooke.
The first season of the series averaged 1.67 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic — good enough to secure a second season renewal. The second season dropped 32% in viewers to 1.13 million and dropped 24% in the demo, falling to a 0.5 rating.
Unfortunately, the second season ended with several unresolved cliffhangers. Hopefully the producers will share how things would have been resolved at some point.

ahh!!! i just finished watching season 2 today. i am very disappointed there wont be a 3rd season 🙁 alot was left unresolved. would have loved to see how it all ends!

Bad time slots & ads
It is shame that this series was cancelled. The characters were interesting, and the story line had imagination. Sometimes good series take a while to catch on, and Sunday Nights against TWD and Resurrection is a tough line up. They should’ve changed the time slot before giving up on this show.

Lifetime…why would you canx WOEE. It was refreshing and fun to watch. You would think that after awhile you would change your programming a bit. It gets really boring and depressing to watch wives/girlfriends getting beat up or something along those lines would be tiresome. Just put the news on. Since Lifetime chooses to not renew maybe Scifi will pick it up.
