TV show description:
Dr. Megan Hunt (Dana Delany) was in a class of her own, a brilliant neurosurgeon at the top of her game. Her world was turned upside down after a devastating car accident put an end to her time in the operating room. She eventually reinvented herself as a Philadelphia medical examiner, determined to solve the puzzle of who or what killed the victims. She uses her vast medical knowledge and investigative instincts to solve the medical mysteries of the dead and bring those responsible for their deaths to justice. Megan’s instincts are sharp, but she’s developed a reputation for graying the lines of where her job ends and where the police department’s begins.
Unfortunately, she isn’t so good at balancing her professional and personal lives. A bitter divorce ended with Megan’s ex-husband gaining sole custody of their daughter. As an advocate for the dead, Megan is unequaled. As a mother, she has a lot to learn.
Equal parts pathologist and politician, Dr. Kate Murphy (Jeri Ryan) must balance relationships with the Medical Examiner’s Office, the Philadelphia Police Department, and City Hall. It’s no easy task — especially when she has to rein in Megan. Fortunately, Kate and Megan find common ground because they both want to help grieving families get closure and find out what happened to their loved ones.
A former cop, Peter Dunlop (Nicholas Bishop) is the Medicolegal Investigator for the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office. After a gunshot ripped through his shoulder during a convenience store robbery, Peter found himself off the streets and inside a rehab facility. Three months of physical therapy later, he had found his true calling: medicine. He works side-by-side with Megan as they investigate mysterious cases.
Dr. Ethan Gross (Geoffrey Arend) gave up pediatrics for forensic pathology on the day that he saw his first autopsy. He’s now the youngest and most enthusiastic person working in the Medical Examiner’s Office. He tries to model himself after Megan and her medical skills but still has a lot to learn when it comes to easing the pain of victims’ grieving families.
As the Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Curtis Brumfield (Windell D. Middlebrooks) is technically Megan’s boss but he quickly realizes that that’s easier said than done. He’s capable and intelligent as a medical examiner. However, when he’s not busy trying to rein in Megan, you can find him in the dirt, studying his true love — insects.
Making sure that Megan doesn’t overstep her bounds is Detective Bud Morris (John Carroll Lynch); a hardheaded, straight-shooting veteran of the Philadelphia Homicide Division. He’s no stranger to death and violent crimes. He fights for justice on Philly streets while fighting to mend the troubled relationship with his wife.
Bud’s new partner is Detective Samantha Baker (Sonja Sohn), a recent transfer from vice. While Bud doesn’t like Megan’s methods, Sam identifies with her take-no-prisoners approach and feels right at home working alongside those in the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Another show I like is cancelled. This must be a conspiracy.
Seemingly, ABC keeps the stinkers and cancel the ones that make sense. Just as my wife and I were really getting into the show, itis cancelled. While Dana Delany is great in whatever she does, the other characters in the show also excellent. Oh well, ABC’s loss of viewers will be another’s gain.
I am so saddened by this. How can you cancel this show? Body of proof has been the only reason I tune into ABC programming on Tuesday’s. I love sitting down and watching Megan Hunt solve crimes. “Please” reconsider this and bring Body back!!
Hail Megan Hunt!!!!
My wife and I look forward to Tuesday so we can watch the latest story from Body of Proof. We both enjoy stories that leave you hanging until the end, only to be surprised by the outcome! The show has great writers and actors. I hope ABC reconsiders its cancellation!
It should be cancelled. Megan Hunt was so nasty this season she reminded me of the idiot ‘House’.
B
That is the character!
It should have been renewed. It is a good show.
Thanks Jeff!!
We are very disappointed about Body of Proofs cancellation. We look forward to the evening it’s on. Is their anything that could be done to bring the story back on tv?
You know, two years ago you were stupid enough to cancel the best cop series since NYPD Blue (Detroit187), now you’ve cancelled Body of Proof. No wonder your network is always last in the ratings war, you cancel every good show you have. what’s next/ are you going to cancel Revenge too?
Body of proof is an excellent show. It’s entertaining and informative. It should be renewed not cancelled.
Absolutely love this show. Love trying to guess who the killer is. Great story lines. Don’t cancel this show to put on another sitcom please.
So happy this show is back we love it along with Bones great shows! Great stories…love it!
Hey ABC Roy Burton’s Got A Message For You Keep Body Of Proof. For As Tony The Tiger Says It’s Grrrrrrrrreat !.
Keep this show alive love it!!!
One of the bet shows produced lately. Will we see more episodes?

Body of Proof is a really good show. Everyone I’ve talked to loves it. Therefore, it is certain to be cancelled. ABC, CBS and NBC are run by folks with teenie-bopper brains interested in nothing but gratuitous sex and special effects.
