Showtime’s Californication has returned for a sixth season on the cable channel. Will the series’ ratings rise and be renewed for a seventh year or will the show be cancelled instead? We’ll have to wait and see.
Californication airs on Sunday nights once again and there are 12 episodes. The show stars David Duchovny, Natascha McElhone, Pamela Adlon, Madeleine Martin, and Evan Handler.

It was a positive opening for Californication. Year-to-year, the premiere was up by 50% in the demo (vs a 0.4 rating) and up by 29% in viewership (vs 0.76 million).

Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
