Celebrity Wife Swap: ABC Orders More Episodes

celebrity wife swapIt turns out that ABC wants even more wife swapping. The network has ordered three additional episodes of Celebrity Wife Swap.

This will bring the second season total to nine installments. The network has aired three episodes on Tuesday nights to moderate ratings success. The first episode of the season drew a 2.4 demo rating with 7.05 million viewers while last night’s brought in a 1.6 rating and 5.02 million.

ABC’s plan is to hold the six remaining episodes for a summer run. A new reality competition, Splash, takes over the timeslot next Tuesday night.

Next Thursday night, the network will start running the new season of the regular Wife Swap at 8pm, taking over for cancelled Zero Hour. There are seven episodes of this version of the reality show.

I’m not a huge reality TV fan, but I love this one and have from Day 1. I don’t know…I guess I like that they take people on two opposite ends of the crazy spectrum. By the end, both families tend to “meet in the middle” and seem to be a little less crazy.

One of the worst reality shows on. I guess we have nothing better to do than watch has been actresses do phony shows about being housewifes. Give me a break Kendra knows what’s it like to be a housewife.

We should force all enemy detainees to watch this show. They’ll be telling us their secrets before the first show is over. This show is torture.

I think the next time we have someone pump out our septic tank, I’ll just record it and watch it over and over. Because I’d rather do that than watch these stupid reality shows that people insist on watching. Please give up reality TV.
