It is now June of 2015, and Dave has been off the air for three LONG weeks! It’s difficult sometimes to process that a fixture in your life, one so long lived and treasured has just disappeared. Literally, at the flip of a switch! I was watching when David was doing local TV in Los Angeles. And I’ve been watching ever since. David Letterman has always been “The Thinking Person’s Late Night Host”. Letterman’s irreverent and seemingly clueless take on current events was a genius move to get the viewer to get involved. To see the point. At least to the point of having an informed opinion. His punch lines were sometimes just that. Statements that hit their targets square in the jaw, and then made it impossible for the viewer to not ponder the actual meaning. This man was a Seer, a Sage for our contemporary society and its complications. I’m missing him, I know billions of others are too. I have his final episode Tivo’d, even into the intro of James Cordon’s show, and their really well done nod to Mr. Letterman. …Just not quite ready to let go….

Get him off now. He’s completely out of touch with reality. His demeaning and degrading comments to conservatives made me and I’m sure a lot more people turn him off long ago. He belongs where he lives, in the People’s Republic of Connecticut.
